A week after the funeral, Voren and the rest of the 6th Scout Corp were gathered at the fort square. They just received reinforcement to replace the one they lost and plus some extra to increase their number a few days earlier.

Another regiment was also assembled next to them. Voren spots Colonel Raven was standing on the stage where he noticed Megumin and her squad as well. There was also an officer he never met before standing on the stage with them.

"I would like to formally welcome the new faces we have to the 6th Scout Corp," Raven announcing.

"The reason I called the unit here today is that we been requested to assist the 94th Infantry Regiment as they push south," Raven said pointed to the officer.

The officer is Colonel Mikaiel Gomez. Commander of the 94th Infantry Regiment. The colonel gave a nod as he smiled.

"Special Op operatives of Zero will also be joining us" Raven announced before turning to Megumin.

Megumin smiled and waved.

Col. Gomez took over as Raven stepped back.
"Our objective is to clean a path and create a safe trade route between Lockhart and the supply base/harbor there". He said to everyone.
"Intel tells us the area is very hostile and dangerous, but we can not fail. This trade route will greatly help as we expand and reclaim our home."

Col. Gomez had a serious expression as he paused. "I won't lie to you men. Not all of us will make it back alive".

"Not for self! but for duty!" the 94th shouted as they pledge their life as they saluted.

The 6th recon nodded to each other as they also went to attention and pledge their life. "DCU!, Duty before life!".

Raven and Gomez chuckled and smiled.
"Very well. We will be leaving 0600 tomorrow so until then get your affair in order" Gomez announced.

"94th, you are dismissed" Gomez shouted. The 94th regiment went to attention and sounded off and disperse.

"6th Recon, you are dismissed as well"  Raven ordered. Veron and his corp did the same before dispersing. 

As Voren was about to walk off, Thomas ran up and walked with him.
"Looks like we are part of something big this time huh?" Thomas asked with a sigh. "I wish we could of have another week or so to rest and recover before being send off to battle again".

Voren smiled and let out a sigh as well.
"Tell me about it. I still have nightmare about North Lake city" he said joking. 

Thomas turns back for a bit to take a look at Megumin and her squad before returning to Voren. "So what do you know about those class 0?" Thomas asked. "They are pretty weird huh?".

Voren looked back at them as well before answering.
"A bit but they are good girls. I only know Megumin but we are not close. She actually saved me and Anna when we first came here".

"Oh right, I heard about that" Thomas replied. "Well... I saw her and team return from missions a few times. They always covered in blood and had these emotionless killer eyes".

"Just be happy they are on our side," Voren said as he playful push Thomas.
