As gargoyles falling around them, the DCU unit that just arrived in the plane got motivated and joined in on the fight. Voren begins to calculate the trajectory and point out where to shoot. 

With Megumin leading the counter-attack, the gargoyles numbers begin to dwindle as their brothers are taken down. The leading gargoyle let out a loud screech and order all remaining gargoyles to retreat.

"Hey! No fair, I wasn't done playing yet" Megumin pouted as she watches the enemies redraw.

The whole base cheered as they were able to defend the base. 

Voren let out a sigh of relieve as he sheathed his sword.
"This was nothing like the simulator," He said as he remembers the training at Fort. Sliver.

"Go! Go! Move it. Secure the area!" Multiple voices can be heard from behind them.

Soon multiple DCU troops appeared followed by a young officer. The troops had a different patch from the soldiers at the Eastern Front. 

"Glad we made it in time. Welcome to the Eastern Front.I'm Lt.Connor West, Commander of the DCU 107th special ranger unit. We came from Fort. Lockhart" said the officer as he introduced himself. 

"We received the distress call and hurried here as soon as possible. We sent one of our operatives ahead of us to assist" Lt.West said as he pointed out at Megumin.

 Megumin saw Lt.West and called out to him as she ran over. "Sir! you made it!" she exclaimed cheerfully.

Megumin gave West a salute when she reaches him. 'All hostiles are either neutralized or has retreated" she reported to her superior officer.

West nodded and said "Very well Sgt.Sugihara. Go take charge of our troops and help this base with anything they need".

"Boo..that's no fun. But yes sir. As you wish" Megumin said as she sulked.

West then turns his attention to Voren and Anna and cross his arms.
"And what is your story rookies?" West said with a smirk.
