When the first special gifted baby (Human X) was born, the DCU saw them as future soldiers. They're the answer to turn the table.

In 2026, a scientist name Adam Moriarty started a secret project behind DCU Command at his research lab "area 11". He called the project "Cursed Children".

With an offer of money and a luxurious life, he gathered 30 women who were willing to take part in the project.

The project was simple. The women will be injected with a concentrated element from the vent and then artificial insemination with the gene from top soldiers. 

Out of the 30, 20 was killed by the element. Only 10 were able to get pregnant.

Out of the 10, seven had a miscarriage and died. Only three women were able to successfully bring their child to the world. Three girls.

But the mothers soon had second thoughts after laying eyes on their beautiful children. Moriarty had a feeling this could happen.

He ordered his troops to immediately takes the children away from their mothers to never see them again. The mothers were then murdered.

Nine years have passed and the three girls grew to the age of nine now. The three children were like sisters and they were always together.

Experiment 11 with the power to take and give life force was given the name Marie Cross.

Experiment 23 with the power over fire element was given the name Megumin Sugihara.

Experiment 30 with the power of telekinesis was given the name Sarena Green.

They have been training to be operatives since the age of 5. The training was brutal and harsh. They were punished harshly if they fail to impress their instructors by physical and mental abuse. They were taught to be emotionless and cold to their enemies. They were given enhancement drugs to make them stronger and faster but unbeknownst to them it also shortens their lifespan. These three will grow up to become the class 0 operatives of "Squad Zero".

They were trained in all types of weapons and hand to hand combat. They were taught to be loyal to Dr. Moriarty and the DCU. Moriarty even taught them to call him father.

In 2036 at the age of 10, they started to go out on missions for the DCU.
