Sometimes it's good to record conversations for future references. (I got this idea when my older sister had an argument with her landlord and he was, in the most simplest terms, being unfair. Long story short, that situation made them go to court, and my sister had audio evidence that he was in the wrong.) Also, I studied linguistics in college and I would transcribe conversations and analyze them for my thesis. The analysis part was fun. Repeating the audio, again and again, to catch what was being mumbled, was not fun. And that's the backstory of how I started inconspicuously recording my two friends' (us, Treeo's) conversations about the supernatural. Well, at least those who read this now know that sometimes (secretly) recording conversations can be beneficial someday.
