Not much happened, but Hyde did get tired of the classes like he thought he would. We're required to take notes, so he basically only pays attention when the teachers starts writing stuff on the whiteboard and adds enough notes later on in his free time, just so that he could get the extra points. Other than that, Hyde mostly just sits there, doodling, he really got into that since looking at Tabbie's- his seating partner- sketchbook.
I'm surprised he got her to show him that, Tabbie's not very social, so it goes without saying that she never lets anyone look in her sketchbooks. But when it comes to Hyde, they share little drawings in class like they were passing notes! Tabbie isn't the only person Hyde made friends with, he really fitted in with Addine and her group of friends too. Honestly, he's getting along so well that it's almost hard to believe that he was a lab-made baby.
Jekyll, on the other hand, is making no effort in making any friends. It's almost like he doesn't want to, I don't know if he's scared or just not interested. He mostly only speaks if spoken to, even if it's by other classmates. I don't know how they were taught in the lab, but I keep telling him that it's ok to speak up, and that there's no higher-ups to be scared of and that the teachers are more like temporary guardians you can talk to, though I'm not sure if what I'm saying is reaching out to him.
But he does pay attention in class, he takes notes - even though he already knows this stuff - and even adds his two cents to them. He's gotten really popular as a study partner, that's for sure, he even got Brice to understand the latest math formula and he hates that subject.
Things started changing a bit for me too. I've known most of these students since 2nd grade, so a good number of them know how I used to rave about my twin brothers that were never seen. A lot of them actually started to apologizing for doubting me and say they want to know more about them and why they weren't around.
It's got me completely off guard, I've never expected any kind of reaction from anyone other than Addine, it's gotten to the point that when we pass by our old teachers, they get their attention, and practically display Jekyll and Hyde as my twin brothers to them. It's a little ridiculous, but fun at the same time, I'm not mad at them for not believing me anymore. I get it- they had nothing but my word to rely on and that can get suspicious after a couple of years. But I've never expected them to apologize for it, let alone remember- maybe some of them, but not practically the whole class.
It's kinda weird having a lot of people talking to me again, even if it's not about me.
