Minho:

After I got that girl into the glade Newt and Alby had dismissed all of us and I watched as the girl walked away with them. As she walked away it occurred to me that I had no idea what her name was or what she had been through either.

She lived in the maze for who knows how long and her clothes showing that. They were ripped up pretty bad and so was she. She had scrapped and injuries everywhere. I wished to know what her life has been like and if she remembers anything. Then I starting thinking about other things like how she got into the maze, or if there were others in there just like her.

They had disappeared in my vision and I had assumed that they were now in the homestead to talk. I walked down there as well for dinner.

When I got down there I saw all the boys in line getting food and then sitting down with their friends talking. It was almost like school, I don’t know why I thought that because I didn’t even know what school was it was just the first thing that I thought of. Anyways I grabbed my food and then sat down next to Ben and chuck. The younger boy was the youngest in the glade and was sadly the only slopper in the glade. He didn’t fight any of the jobs that we had.

I shook all of those thoughts out of my head and just eat with my friends talking to them and having some good laughs. We talked about Chuck and his latest prank that he pulled, it was hilarious. He had taken the mustard that Frypan uses and filled Gally’s toothpaste container. After he used it his teeth turned yellow and he looks pissed. Poor Chuck was caught by him though and he wasn’t having fun. We all laughed about it and gave him a few more ideas of what he could do.

As we were talking I noticed someone out of the corner of my eye. It was the girl. She was standing over with Newt as he talked. Then we walked over to Frypan to get some food. The girl stood there looking at everything but then her eyes landed on mine. She looked at me for a few minutes before Newt walked back to her with food. She snapped out of whatever she was thinking and looked at Newt before she left she shot me one more glance.

“Hey Mhino what are you looking at?” Chuck's voice cut through my thoughts

“Oh, nothing I just thought that I saw something.”

“Was it that girl from before?” he said, “The one that was in the maze.”

“Oh, um ya.”

“It’s okay I won't tell anyone that you have a small crush on her,” he said whispering it in my ear. If there were one thing that Chuck was good at it was keeping secrets. This wasn’t one that needed to be kept though because I didn’t feel like that to her. Did I?

After we all finished dinner we made our ways back to our rooms. I walked with Chuck back as he told me how excited he was for meeting this girl. He was saying how he wanted to meet her and be friends with her. He even said that if she was his friend that she could help him with his pranks, which he never lets anyone help him with other than ideas. When we got to our rooms I told him goodnight and that he should try to sleep. After we separated I walked to my room.

I walked up to stairs to the keeper's rooms and walked into mine. I froze in the doorway as I saw something I never thought I would see. It was the girl. She was in my room standing in the doorway of the bathroom.

She was wearing new clothes from the ones I saw her in earlier. She looked really nice in them. The green-ish pants tight against her hips and legs showing off the curves that she had. On top of that, she wore an off-white tank top on top of that showing off how pale skinned she was as her skin almost mixed with the tank top. He hair was pulled over her right shoulder draping over it.

I stood there not knowing what to say or what to do. How does someone deal with this when there is a girl in your room that you had only just meet. What do I do?

“Um, hello. Um, why are you in my room if I might ask?” I said my words coming out scrambled.

“Newt told me I could stay in here. I didn’t know who’s room this was, sorry,” she said making me groan as I realized this was all thanks to Newt and it was all his doing. I looked up after my annoyance to see a face that almost looked guilty.

“It’s okay you can stay here until we get you a room. Don’t worry about it Newt likes to do things like that.” I told her moving things around in the room. I moved a pillow and a blanket on the floor and I made sure there was still plenty on the floor.

“Thank you. I’ll take the floor don’t worry.”

“No you sleep on the bed and I’ll take the floor.”

“Please let me sleep on the floor. I have been in the maze sleeping on the floor so long that I don’t know if I can fall asleep on a bed. Anyways it is your room and I don’t want to take your stuff.”

“I guess if you really insist on it but I feel bad,” I told her placing another heavy blanket on the ground so that she wouldn’t get cold. I still have plenty of blankets on my bed so I wasn’t too worried about being cold not that it even got that cold.

She moved over to the bed and laid down the ground pushing the covers aside. She curled up in almost a ball and seemed to fall asleep almost immediately. I walked over to her and pulled one of the thinner blankets over her. She seemed to relax more once it was on but still was quite tense. She mumbled something under her breath that I wasn’t able to hear. I moved closer to see if I could make out what she said, “thank you Minho” her voice said. It was still so quiet that I barely even heard her.

I smiled a bit before making my way to my bed. I climbed in and for the first time in a long time, I fell asleep right away.
