After what seemed like an eternity, we finally made it to school. “I’ll be picking you up after school, okay?” my uncle informed.

“Yeah, yeah,” I replied as I got out of the car, slamming the door behind me.

Again, he chuckled and drove away. My uncle was unpredictable. He could read me like an open book, which was really annoying. Never mind that, it was time to put my plan into action. Uncle drives fast, so I was pretty early for school.

I walked into the building and got my books from my locker before the first bell rang. Figured, I would have time to “flirt” with Athena before class. Now, how do I approach her? Well, first things first, I gotta get her away from that tomboy. With her around, I’ll never be able to talk to Athena. From what I know, their lockers are next to each other, they have chemistry together with me, the tomboy takes French at the same time Athena and I have History. There’s one chance.

This school has block scheduling, so the all the schedules are different. Athena and her friend have lunch together, but not today. Another opportunity. I won’t have this chance tomorrow; our lunch periods aren’t the same. But our math is. The tomboy is in the same class too, but it’ll give me time to observe her. Find out what makes her tick.

Uncle’s going to pick me up, so that gives me a chance to talk to Athena. Based on my analysis, she takes the bus in the morning, but not in the afternoon. Tomboy’s brother takes her home. I know because he’s the new coach for one of the sports team. Not sure which one, think it’s football. Plus, they have the same last name, and only an idiot wouldn’t make the connection.

Anyway, now that I have a grasp on her schedule, I can find the time to flirt with her. Oh, wait…there’s still a problem. Those brainless fangirls…they might interfere if I’m not careful. I know they did the last time cause I heard some of them talking about it. I make not like having that tomboy around Athena when I want to, but at least she can be a bodyguard. I wouldn’t be surprised if she was a crossdresser based on how high her boy nature is. Heck, I’d be shocked if she didn’t make the wresting team, let alone football.

I checked my phone for the time. Exactly two minutes before the bell rings. I took a deep breath, then looked in my locker mirror. Looking this good has got to be a crime! Athena, you will fall for me, and when you do, I will break your heart. No one humiliates me and gets away with it. You may not have done it in public, but my honor…I’ve been reading too much Greek poetry. Hope I don’t turn out like those morons. If anything, I’ll succeed and be satisfied.
