I looked over to Thimble. He slept, but not peacefully. He had a look of distress, and was visibly sweating. I woke him up. "let's go." I commanded. He nodded groggily as he stood up. I feel like behind that bright smile, he had a melancholy like mind. We began to walk until we reached a bay. "Frutex bay?" Thimble asked. "YUP!" A strange voice erupted out of nowhere. Thimble and I looked around to find the source. All there was a bush, and the bay in the distance, and a large structure past that. "Down here!" I shouted. Thimble and I looked at the small bush. We stared at it awkwardly. "Stop staring the bush replied. I jumped back absolutely disgusted. Thimble's eyes grew visibly larger. "Your not from around here are you?" The bush ranted on. "What are you!?!?" I yelled back. "I'm a Snargle!" It shouted back. I looked at it dumbfounded. "Thimble...Are you hearing this?" I muttered. He nodded slowly. Great....I was talking to a bush now. I looked back at it sternly. "Heading to Frutex Bay?" It asked. "None of your business...you shrub." I insulted. "We're heading to the temple past the bay, Mr. Snargle." I glared a Thimble for telling the bush information. "OH! I can help with that." Snargle replied. I raised the brow of my good eye. "Oh? I don't see how a bush can help us." I replied. "Us Snargle's are magical creatures." "Cool." I replied unenthusiastically. Thimble's eyes visibly lit up. "I love magic!" He shouted. I sighed. Of course he did. "Seem to me we have a non believer." The Snargle remarked. I laughed. "You think I'm a idiot? Of course magic is real, I am talking to a talking bush right now, after all." I replied confidently. The little bush wiggled. "Then why don't you want my help, to get past Frutex Bay, you need to get past a rushing river, even the most experienced swimmer couldn't make it across." It replied. I grumbled. I looked over to Thimble, whose face displaced his guilt over almost making us both drown. I sighed. "Okay, fine, but how are you going to help us?" I sighed. "Us Snargles are mag-" "Yeah, yeah, we get it, us Snargles are magical creatures, and all that jazz, we get your song and dance, okay? What are you going to do to help our situation?" I ranted on about. The Snargle stopped wiggling. "Uh..Oh...well, you see, us Snargles are magic and everything....we can teleport you, directly to wherever you desire." The Snargle replied. "How?" I replied. It wiggled. "Like this!" It replied. It's wiggling intensified. A glowing green pentagram appeared under Thimble and I. Suddenly everything turned to a blinding white light. When the white faded, my eyes were met with a giant structure. What seemed like a old castle, was now a big crumbling building. Thimble, was freaking out on how we had made it here. His constant cheer was starting to irk me. "Please stop." I muttered. He didn't listen. He skipped over to the front door. "This must be the ruins. HUH!! The little bush knew that this is where we wanted to go!" Thimble shouted. I looked around to see that behind us was a rushing river leading out to the ocean. This had to be Frutex Bay. I guess I may of underestimated the little bush. I walked over to Thimble. "Okay, we have to be careful, these ruins look, as if they could fall apart at any moment." I suggested. Thimble nodded. Slowly I walked up to the creaky old door. What layed behind them was a staircase leading into a dark abyss. Thimble suddenly looked nervous. I smiled at him, as I began walking into the unknown, hesitantly, he followed. Thimble followed me into the growing darkness. I suddenly became a bit worried for a light source. "I...can't see...a thing." I muttered annoyed. "We'll...never be able to find anything." Thimble complained. Thimble came close to me, almost as if he wanted to hug me out of fear. Luckily he didn't, as he probably knew I'd kill him if I did. Suddenly from the darkness I heard a voice I had never heard before whisper something. "Flagra." I whispered. With that flames lit on torches everywhere, revealing the room before us. We were in a room with many paths, crumbling above a deep abyss. In front of us stood a hooded figure, with sickly purple wings protruding from their back. In the figures hand was a scythe. It had to be death itself, coming to claim my soul. I withdrew my pistol and pointed it towards it. "Stay back!" I yelled. Thimble glanced over to me and withdrew his pistol he had received on the ship and pointed it to the reaper. I tried to see the face, but could not. It's face was covered by it's hood. It did not move, and we did not as well. Sweat dripped down Thimble's forehead. "What do you wait for!? Will you strike us...or not!?!?" The reaper finally moved, but not by much. It tilted it's head towards Thimble, as if it was studying him. Slowly it looked back to me. I glared at it. "Your move." I told it angrily. If it wanted to claim my soul, why would it wait. It's the essence of death itself, why did it need to play mind games? After another agonizing minute, it's giant wings flapped, and propelled itself upward. We watched as it flew past us, and up the stairway we had entered. Slowly I lowered my gun. "W-what the heck?" he blurted out. I looked at the stair case, puzzled. Why did it leave? From behind me, Thimble screamed. I turned around to see the blue blobs taking him away. A whole pack of them had fused together. I reached for my broadsword, only for more slimy goop to attach themselves to me and take all my weapons. I rolled out of the way, when a giant slime, tried to engulf me as they had with Thimble. I was out of weapons, and Thimble was being taken away. By now he was entirely engulfed by the slime. I quickly wondered whether or not he could breath. I quickly followed in pursuit. I jumped on top of the slime and put my hand through it and grabbed Thimble's. I pulled him out as I got myself enwrapped in the gooey substance. Thimble looked toward me. I was helpless, and I was almost completely within the slime. He stood up and withdrew his gun. He pointed toward the slime. He looked unusually focused as he aimed. I noticed, that even still his aim was horrible. He was pointing directly at me. "Thimble, don't you'll shoot m-" I gargled as I fell more within the blob. He smiled. "Don't worry I got this." He replied This was it. I thought. He was going to accidentally shoot me. That's how I was going to die. From the air, the grim reaper returned from the air. His hands lit up with flames as a fireball spiraled toward down to us. Thimble looked up and gasped as he ducked down. The fireball hit the side of the path and exploded. The path crumbled, as Thimble went flying into the abyss. Still within the slime, I fell too. I tried to scream, but couldn't I watched as all I could see was darkness. Soon the ground came into view. I closed my eye as I embraced for impact.
