The next day
There they are, sitting in the dining room of their home. Avrilla sat on the other head of the table, on what they like to call “Leader’s Wife Chair”.
She acted like nothing had happened last night, but it did, something did happen. The servants had served breakfast for them. Avrilla sent them away. She was reading some letters regarding her tasks as Avalon’s wife. She looked at Amethyst, more like judging her, as usual.
“Did you sleep?” asked Avrilla kindly. “Yes and no.” “We wouldn’t blame you.” she smiled. “Wine. I want wine!” A servant ran in with the wine bottle. “Madam, is it wise-” “For you to shut up and serve me my wine? Yes.”
The servant poured in the wine and left. She took a few sips of her wine. “He got me drinking in the morning, your father.” Amethyst tried to smile. “Have you seen Blossom..” “Mother, I’m still your mother in their eyes.” she whispered while her eyes glanced at the guards. “..mother.” continued Amethyst. “No, she ran off to the woods.”
I wonder, is she alright? Does she imagine my head when targeting animals? Does she forgive me..
“Cos, I’m NOT going back to these fucking liars!” yelled Blossom as she sat in a tree, pointing an arrow at him. “Blossom, please. Do not make me use this.” He looked down at his sword while standing next to the tree. “I dare you.” She tightened her bow. “Blossom, come on.” The young elf-man didn’t want to hurt Blossom by cutting down the tree. He was hoping she would work along. “So, you do work for my father. You’re lying to me too!” she yelled. She shot the arrow into his jeans but missed his skin. “You almost got me there, Blossom!” He looked down at his ripped jeans. “I missed cause I care, Cos.” He looked into her eyes. “I would never lie to you. I promise but please, come out of the tree.”
“Madam Leader.” said an old elf-admiral as he walked in. He saluted Avrilla. “Admiral Geonwin, why are you here?” He saw Amethyst. “Princess.” He tipped his hat for her. “Madam Leader, I have urgent news regarding our leader..” They looked shocked. “Geonwin, what is going on with my husband?” He stepped closer. “Avrilla, we must speak about this in private..” He looked at Amethyst. “Amethyst, please go to your room. Guards, escort her.” “Mother..” “Go.” The guards grabbed Amethyst by her arms and dragged her out of the room. “Please, continue.”
Early that day
“Who are you, boy?” - “Hans, Sir.” The elf-man looked at the list he was holding. He was standing behind a counter. “There’s no Hans on the list, lad.” The elf-man was looking less friendly. “So? I took over a shift of one of my mates who was down to fuck his girlfriend all day instead of doing his chores. Does that make me the enemy? Like come on. Look at me.” He looked at Hans.
The young elf-man had his hair in a bun, was wearing commoner clothing and had a car full with barrels. “Fine, lad. What are in these barrels?” Hans opened one of the barrels. He lifted it up a little to show the elf-man. “Wine for High Hill’s residents.” The elf-man looked intrigued. “I could leave a barrel here.” Hans winked. “If I don’t see you leaving before the end of the day..” Hans nodded. He put a barrel on the counter. The elf-man pressed on some sort of button and talked to another elf.
Suddenly, the villager gate to High Hill had been opened. “Hurry on, lad.” Hans smiled. The gate had closed after he had passed it. “An idiot.” he laughed. He left the car behind and walked into an alley. He saw an elf-soldier. He knocked him out and dragged him into what looked like an abandoned cabin. There, he took the elf-soldier’s clothing and other belongings. He had changed his appearance to fit the picture. Hans looked at the identity of the elf-soldier that he had in his hands. “Cadet Ned? No wonder, you suck at your job, mate.” The cadet he had tied up looked at him. “Hmmmm.” “Sorry, I can’t hear you, Neddy!” He closed, locked, the door and left. “Game on.”
Hans had entered the military building in High Hill. Easily, he had passed the security under his new name “Cadet Ned”. They really should have made portraits of their soldiers, idiots. He was surprised by how spectacular the building looked from the inside. Hans looked at the map of the building.
“Cadet!” yelled a higher ranked elf-soldier by the look at him. Hans turned around and saluted the elf-soldier. “What are you doing here, cadet?! Late for work?!” yelled the elf his ears. “No, Sir, no!” The elf-soldier laughed. “Haha, sorry, cadet. And please, do not call me “Sir”. I’m not one of those old bastards.” Hans smiled. “Lieutenant Norman.” he said while he was shaking Hans’ hand. “Cadet..Ned.”
Do not know the boy, do not.
“Well. Ned, you have got to get used to being teased as a kiddo here. Haha.” said Norman. “So, where are you going to, Hans?” Hans tried to sell the lie as best as he could. “The toilet..” Norman laughed. “You’re funny, lad.” Norman walked away.
Continue the plan.
Now
“Fine, I’ll get out of the tree.” Slowly, Blossom climbed down the tree. Cos tried not to look at her. “If you are staring at my ass, I will shoot you in your balls!” she yelled. “I’M NOT LOOKI-” “Save it.” Blossom jumped off. She shook her head which made her ponytail move, a few of her hair piece floated in front of her face, it looked pretty hot, she looked pretty hot. Cos was trying to hide his blush. “What?” she asked. “Nothing.” She rolled her eyes. “Let’s go home.”
Avrilla had thrown everything that was on the table on the ground. She was crying. Admiral Geonwin tried to comfort her. “Madam Leader, please, think of your girls. You need to be strong for them. That’s what Avalon wants for them.” She nodded. “You’re right, you are so right.” She wiped away her tears. “Nobody can speak about this until I have talked to them.” He nodded. “Madam Leader.”
“Glad to see that you are alive and well, Blossom.” said Avrilla while she looked at her daughter walking in the office. “Glad to see that you can still speak bitch.” Blossom was still angry about last night. She could hold a grudge for a while.
Amethyst knocked on the door. “Come in.” She walked in. “Blos!” “Thyst.” Amethyst didn’t know what else to say other than; “I..”
Blossom winked at her. “I wouldn’t call you “Thyst” if things weren’t fine between us.” She nodded. “Well, I’m happy we are all good with each other again.” said Avrilla. “We will need that, please take a seat, girls.” They sat down.
Blos, why is she on dad’s chair? - We are about to find out, little one.
“Your father..is missing.”
