Rowan walked back up stairs and walked into the classroom. She scanned the room, walked to her seat, and pulled out her textbook.

She sat down, textbook open in front of her. A little gust of wind was carried beside her. 

She turned to face her friend Tyler. His half shaved blue hair and green eyes complimented the stars on his face.

His freckles were shaped as stars; no surprise there, since he's from the Moon Realm. 

"Hey, Rowan," Tyler smiled at her, and looked at her outfit.

He leaned onto his hand. "You look like a cute little bumblebee today." He smiled at her, with a hint of mischief sparkling in his eyes.

Rowan looked towards the window, ignored the shades of pink on her cheeks. 

"Thanks," she mumbled. She didn't really appreciate Tyler's demeanor right now, but she won't say anything about it.

Rowan tilted her head up, only to find no teacher at the desk.

Behind the desk and on the chalkboard, it read "OUT FOR THE PERIOD. READ PAGES 50-80. TAKE NOTES ON EACH CHAPTER."

"Typical of him. How is he not fired yet?" Tyler looked at the board, and sighed.

"Eh, it doesn't really bother me. I mean, at least he have us instructions this time."

Rowan lazily nodded, and looked down at her textbook. She closed it, and rested her face in her hands. She felt soft hands rest on her shoulders.

"You okay there?" Tyler asked her, with a little bit of worry in his voice.

"I mean, I guess. I don't feel like putting energy into anything today. I just wanna go home and sleep."

Tyler nodded slowly, clearly thinking about the choice of his words.

"You could always fake being sick if you want to go home that badly." 

Rowan shook her head, keeping her head down. "I don't wanna leave school if I don't have a valid reason."

"It sounds like your having one of your episodes, so I think it IS a valid reason," Tyler stated. His tone turned serious, and almost demanding.

Rowan sighed. Tyler might be a flirty little shit sometimes, but he does know her better than she knows herself. 

Rowan stood up, and started packing her things. "Can you ask Thomas to give me the homework from our classes? And could you also get the homework for me?"

"I can't, I'm leaving early today." Tyler looked down, feeling guilty.

She picked up her backpack, and threw it over her shoulders. "Where are you going?" She tilted her head.

"I'm going to the Animal Realm with my mom. We're trying to convince Lady Serenity to grant us some animals for our Space Realm since it's getting kind of lonely. Plus, there would be new species to discover." Tyler seemed really excited. 

"Well, I'm off, I guess." Rowan said, not sure how to react to ditching school.

That's it for this chapter! Sorry I haven't been active! I've been having a lot of depressed moments in life and school, but I'm overcoming those obstacles!

Here's a little info on Tyler: 

Tyler Greenwood is mixed, and he is 17. He loves animals, and hates spicy food. He also bisexual, and he is trans. He discovered he wasn't comfortable as a female at 13, so he changed his name from Taylor to Tyler. His mom accepted him, but his father didn't. They divorced a year later, so it's just him and his mom Madeline.
