“Come on get up!”

Tarkik groaned and turned around “leave me alone”

Princess kicked Tarkik’s back “stop sleeping on the grass and get up”

Tarkik sat up “Fine what do you want?”

“I’m taking you on a trip, I’m going to the earth colony to meet friends and watch gladiator fights”

Tarkik looked at her confused “Last time I checked I was your father’s slave so-”

“I’ve already asked him and he said yes”

Tarkik looked shocked “Really?” now he was looking in disbelief “are you serious?”

Omisha looked at him weird “why is that so hard to believe?”

“Can I just....Consult with your father first, he is my master after all”

“Fine, maybe you can pack as well when you are at it. Meet you at the palace front gate”

When Princess Omisha left him Tarkik went running towards the throne room. Then slowed down and entered without announcement.

“Slave why are you here?”

“I was told by your daughter that she plans to bring me to the earth nation. I came here to you just to make sure”

The man smiled “the fact that you came to me first just to make sure if I actually gave out the orders shows your loyalty to me and yes you will be leaving with my daughter”

“Master, may I ask why?”

The man touched his chin “I thought you deserved a break from me, now leave before I change my mind” Tarkik stood up and quickly left. When he was out of the throne room he fist pumped the air and went straight to his room. He packed his things and quickly made his way to the gate.

“Thought you wouldn’t come”

“You kidding? I’ve wanted to leave this place for the longest time”

But before he crossed the gate he froze and looked at his feet. As soon as his foot stepped out the palace he felt free, sure he was still a slave and there was no way Omisha would let him go but still…

Being on a ship made him ecstatic, it reminded him when he was back with his nation, how they went on fishing trips.

“You’re not planning on throwing yourself overboard and swimming away?”

He heard Omisha ask him. He realized that he was leaning over the side of the boat and he was looking at the water.

“I couldn’t if I wanted”

Omisha looked at him weird “what do you mean”

Tarkik showed his wrist “See this bracelet?”

“Yeah saw it on you since i met you”

“I can’t turn into my second self when I’m outside of the palace. This bracelet which only a royal can take off will prevent me from turning into a “fish” a swim away”

She nodded “good because I’m prepared to jump after you and catch you again”

He chuckled “Princess why did you decide to take me on this trip”

“Because..although I spend some afternoons with you, you’re always busy with my father and me with princess.. stuff, and I just wanted to spend some alone time with you. No guards just me and you”

He turned red “but there are guards here”

“These are my guards and they have sworn loyalty to only me if I tell them to not say anything they will say nothing”

He turned redder as she got closer ‘what is she going to do?’

He thought nervously.

“I’ll see you at dinner time” When she turns and leaves, Tarkik lets out a breath. He actually thought she was going to kiss him and was she implying on something?

Well, he’ll have to find out later.

At dinner, he thought she’d make a move on him but it was actually just ended to be a normal dinner where they were laughing, telling stories and getting to know each other.

He then started to wonder ‘is the princess really into me? Or does she see me as just a friend?’ He couldn’t help but like her but did she like him?
