Jackson was a year older than me, with short black hair and brown eyes.
In other words, he was to pretty to be gay.
Like most teenagers, I broke down the minute I saw him, and quickly walked by him.
Or so I thought.
"Hey, Natalie. How are you?"
I froze.
God, why me?
"Uh. Y'know. Hanging in there"
I said, then prayed to God that my anxiety wouldn't be against me this time.
Then he laughed his angelic laugh and said;
"Yeah, I know the feeling."
I smiled and blushed, then hid behind my conveniently long hair.
"Yeah- uh. Anyways, I'm sure you gotta get to lunch, I won't keep you."
I started to walking away, then he spoke up again.
"Actually, I already ate. How about we talk for a bit?"
Was the world against me today?
