He bunched up my hair in his fist and pulled my hair upward till I was standing on my tippy toes. “Who are you to speak to me like that little girl,” he said quietly. Then Josh intervened.

“Get your hands off her.” he sounded mad but quiet he sounded like a twig ready to snap at any point in time.

“Who are you to boss me around!” he yelled

“ I am Jennifer and the daughter of a douchebag bastard alcoholic father and a former great mother before my step dad turned her into a bitch.”

He slapped my ear with the flat of his free hand making my head spin

With his hand still holding my hair, I pulled my fist back and made a left hook to his jaw. Simultaneously with my right gave him an uppercut to the gut right in between his bottom ribs. His nose started bleeding but I didn’t care, all I remember is a lot of red in my vision, and Josh screaming at me to stop.
