Soldier POV:
The young man watched the woman from out the window. Her blonde hair catching the rays of the sun. her hair moving in perfect sync with the branches of the trees as the wind blew. He watched as she simply sat outside resting against the tree, reading her books, or sharpening her weapons. He felt like there was something about her but he didn’t know what.
The kind had given him the job of watching her. He didn’t understand why he had to watch this young woman. She didn’t seem as if she was dangerous and she certainly didn’t looked dangerous even with the weapons that she carried. He did admit that she seemed to know what to do with all the weapons but he didn’t think she looked dangerous with them. He had to admit though when he was given the job his interest spiked and he was interred at who this woman was.
As he watched her there were so many questions that he wanted to ask her. He wanted to ask her why she was so persistent? Why she wouldn't go home? He wanted to know so many things he wanted to ask but he couldn’t ask any of them because the law forbade it. He would not break the law for some woman who refused to go home. He might have been curious but he would not give up his place in this kingdom for some woman that he did not even know.
He watched as the young woman disappeared. She sat under the tree and than the next moment she packed all her stuff up and walked down at the wall. She wasn’t gone for two long maybe five minutes. It was enough for the young guard to wonder where she had wandered off to. He didn’t know what she was doing or where the woman went.
Soon she appeared again and took her place under the tree right up. She sat down taking her bag off her shoulder placing it next to her. She pulled out a book. He watched as she began to read again. It was like she had never moved. As if she was a ghost that just appeared and disappeared but was always there.
He felt himself staring at her. He didn’t know what is was about her but he couldn’t seem to looked away. His eyes glued to her as he watched.
Than she looked up. Her eyes meeting his. He didn’t know if she could see him but her eyes seemed to meet his burning holes into his head. He couldn’t looked away couldn’t look at anything else.
Her eyes were the color of the sea. Even from this far distance he could see her eyes as clear as day. It was like she was standing right in front of him. The blue sparkling like the waves of the sea crashing upon the sand. The blue danced in her eyes like the moving waves. They moved so gracefully jet full of anger. They seemed to almost cast a spell upon him making it so that he couldn’t look away. He couldn’t seem to look away but than again he did not try to look away. He was so amazed by her eyes.
After several minutes all he could see was the grey stones on the walls. He sat up realizing that he had fallen on the ground. He fell to the ground without even realizing that he was down there,
“What happened there?” said another knight standing beside him, his name was Sir Edion. He offered the young guard a hand up, who took it gratefully.
“I really do not know. I was standing there looking out the window and than I was down here. I cannot seem to remember what happened before that.”
“Do you remember anything else?” Sir Edion asked his face confused as he listened to the man.
“The last thing I recall was looking at that woman and than I was on the ground.” his face scrunched up as he was trying to remember what had happened. Suddenly he gasped looking right at Sir Edion, who had stepped back in alarm. “I remember something else. It is weird but it was the other thing that happened. I was looking at the woman and she looked at me. All of a sudden I couldn’t look away and this feeling of pain and sorrow came over me. I felt like I was falling and than when I looked up I was on the ground.”
“That does not seem right.” Sir Edion said his face scrunched up trying to figure it out.
“I have no other way of explaining it, for I do not understand either.”
“Very well. Shall we inform the King?”
“I suppose that we should let him know what happened.” he said before they stared off. They informed another guard what they were doing and asked him if he would watch their post while they were gone. The guard accepted and then there free to go and talk to the kind.
On their way down neither of them talked. They silently walked through the hallway making their way to the throne room.
When they arrived there they knocked on the door. The guards inside the throne room pulled the doors open allowing them to enter. They walked up to the Throne stopped several feet before it. Than they both bowed down. They waited for the King to tell them to rise.
“Rise my guards, you mustn’t bow to me.” the King told them as they stood up tall, “Why have you come to see me?”
“It is Sir Tiron, and Sir Edion. We have come to see you for something knew has happened.” Sir Edion spoke gesturing to Sir Tiron.
“Speak. Have no fear of what has happened.”
Sir Tiron opened his mouth and began telling the King of what had happened. Of what he had felt when she looked at him. He told him what it was like when he look into her eyes. The Kind listened to every word that came out and wondered who this lady was. The King had no more reason not to let this woman in. He wished to meet her and see who she was. There was nothing that could stop him now.
The King had been told early that their Neighboring Kingdom had been attacked and in that incident their King and Queen were murdered. He felt bad for the Kingdom and wanted to do something for them and maybe through this Woman he would be able to do that. He felt like this woman sitting at the gate had something to do with the murder or that she could shed some light on the incident itself. Either way he knew that she could help.
It was time to see why she had come all the way here.
It was finally time.
