In a crowded bar on a Wednesday night, Kenan sat silently drinking his beer and staring at Frank. Frank smiled at him and Kenan couldn't help but smile back. Kenan could sense that Frank liked him and even though Kenan felt drawn to him he just wasn't in the mood of liking anybody at the moment. Keenan always followed his gut and right now his gut was telling him to avoid frank at all costs.

“Hey I think I'm gonna head back home now I have a lot to do tomorrow,” Kenan said 

“Awww so soon! Okay drive safe” Ruby replied

Kenan stood up and chugged the rest of his beer while side eyeing frank who was staring at him with piercing eyes. kenan put the empty beer bottle down and rolled his eyes. Everything suddenly felt childish.

Kenan managed to get home and sleep early enough to wake up energized for his meeting. He had just joined a research team in his school's Science Department and he was going to be paired with a team and a teaching assistant.

Kenan arrived just on time and got into the office. He sat in the waiting room for a couple of minutes until he was asked to go into the research lab. He saw a group of people laughing and sipping on bitter coffee and just like that, his eyes meet with another. Someone from his past whom he thought he would never get to see ever again in his life.
