Aki unlocked the door to his new dorm. He was told he had to share a dorm with someone “special”, he doubted it though. When he opened the door, the first thing he saw was someone asleep on the couch. “So this must be my ‘special’ roommate,” He thought. He checked both rooms and noticed that both rooms were empty. Funny, he’d expected one of the rooms to be filled with...his roommate's stuff. He shrugged at the thought and started putting up his clothes. When he got done, he went into the bathroom and looked in the mirror. He examined his facial scars, two long scars crossing his lips, making a “X”. The other scar digging deep into his cheek and down to chin. He smiled, he knew this was gonna be a new year. He put on his surgical mask that he always wore. It had a smiley face on the front that made people smile when they saw it. He flipped off the light in his room and went into the living room….but his roommate was gone.
