Mark was sound asleep when they found him. The guards surrounded him. “Wake him up!” Someone ordered. A guard approached Mark and shook him. When his eyes opened, all he saw was horror. There were bodies everywhere. Blood staining the ground and the buildings. They were everywhere, but none of it touched him. “Who did this! What happened here!” The guards ordered. They were all looking at Mark, but he didn’t know what was going on, he didn’t even know where he was. “ANSWER ME CHILD!” The guard barked. When Mark didn’t answer him, he pulled out his sword and pointed it at Marks throat. “Either tell me what happened or you will join them!” Mark was scared. He didn’t know what to do, so he slowly crawled backwards, tears threatening to roll down his cheeks. “That’s it! Kill the boy!” The leader ordered. When Mark heard him…...he fell. He didn’t fall into a hole, or off a steep hill. He fell through his shadow, as if it was a door that just opened. When he hit a cold, wooden floor, he looked around. He was confused and scared. He was in a old building with three rooms. There was the hallway where he was, the bedroom, and a bathroom. Every other doorway was blocked by metal. After Mark looked around he sat in the floor of the bedroom and curled up into a ball, and began to cry. He was scared, and he didn’t know where he was, how old he was, or…..what he was. All he knew is that he wanted this day to end.
