All races have a signature set of scents that indicates to Weres and Vampires what they are. Weres are earthy scents, like leaves, moss, and pine. Vampires are more metallic like bronze, copper, and steel. Fae and Dragons give off scents that associate with the elements they have mastery of such as smoke for fire or ocean for water, curry for the soul, etcetera. Humans, Wiccans, and Mages are mostly floral, nutty or fruity scents, such as lavender, cherry, and walnuts. Wiccans scents actually become more potent as they perform spells. Mages scents tend to add an undercurrent of sulfur to their scent that fades with time if they don’t perform spells for a couple of hours. Dwarfs tend to smell of brimstone with a mixture of other earthy scents as well. Hybrids can have a melding of the scent bases for each of the races of the hybrid’s ancestry, though Hybrid Weres do not carry the Were base scents until they shift for the first time.
