When Lexy got to her house, she said, to no one in particular, “Home sweet home,” she sighed. She slung her bookbag on the ground so that she could find the key to her house. “Ahh.” Lexy pulled out the key. Or it was more like she struggled to lift the darn thing. “Is today the day that I can finally get into the house? I guess not,” she sighed as she put the huge key away. She slugged her book bag back on her back and walked around the house.
When Lexy got to the spot right under her third-floor window. Growing up to the tippy top of the house was the thickest patch of ivy that you have ever seen. When she got close enough, she stuck her arm deep into the ivy. Lexy’s arm was swallowed up in a second. She swished her arm around with her tongue sticking out the corner of her mouth. “Ahh,” Lexy said when she found what she needed. Then, she pulled out a long ladder that was almost as tall as the house itself. Lexy put the ladder on the wall so that it went right under her window, and she started climbing up the ladder.
“I’ve been expecting you.” Madam Vile said.
“Hi,” Lexy said as she slung her bookbag on the floor. ”So…” Lexy said breaking the awkward silence had settled in.
“Where have you been? You were supposed to be home an hour ago!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Madam Vile screeched.
“Hanging with a friend!!!!!!!!” Lexy yelled back cringing.
“You don’t yell at me, I yell at you!!!!!!!” Madam Vile yelled. In that exact moment, Lexy started crying. “Oh suck it up ya little delinquent.”
Suddenly Lexy stopped crying. “Well I’m sorry. I’m crying because I feel bad but I shouldn't feel bad because I know you, and you are mean.” Madam Vile opened her mouth to talk. “NO, I’m talking right now, you shut up. I don’t know why I always put up with you. Wait, yes I do, I guess I always thought that there might be some good in you. Now I know I’m wrong because you have been nothing but mean to me for all of my life.” Lexy stopped to catch her breath.
“You do not talk to me that way young lady,” Madam Vile said as she grew into a, larger than life, serpent.
“Oh, do not try that with me. Get out of my room.”
“No.”
“Get out now,” Lexy said as she started to glow. Madam Vile hissed when the glow touched her.
“This is not over,” Madam Vile hissed.
“I never said it was. Now get out,” Lexy said seething.
“Fine, but you are never to see your friend again,” Madam Vile said coolly as she stalked out of the room.
“Fine,” Lexy screamed at her closed door. Then Madam Vile words sunk in. “No” Lexy whispered over and over.
