There is a day when Jena feels that no one actually cares for her sincerely. She feels that they only find her when they need her.
“Are you busy? I need someone to talk.”
“I have problems with my boyfriend (or girlfriend)”
“I don’t have company to go to the exhibition, can you accompany me? I don’t like being alone.”
That are probably three out of sooo many asking sentences that Jena have received. However, when there is a chance for Jena to looking for their help, they mostly give some excuses.
“Mia, Are you busy? I need someone to talk.”
“Oh sorry Jena, can you call me tomorrow? I am going to have a date with my boyfriend. “
“Summer, I have problems with my boyfriend (or girlfriend)”
“Oh what happened dear?”
“We fight because of bla..bla..bla..”
“Jena, sorry to cut you, can we continue this later? I don’t know why I feel like no energy today. I feel sleepy, talk later is it okay?”
“I don’t have company to go to the exhibition, can you accompany me, Lily? I don’t like being alone.”
“Exhibition? Ah..uhm.. I need to accompany my dad actually. Sorry I cannot accompany you today. Maybe.. nextweek?”
“Huff… They are all the same! When they need me I always try my best to give my time for them but why… is it that difficult to spend some time for me?” Jena keep grumping inside her heart..
…
But.. there are things Jena doesn’t know about her friends giving excuses not to accompany her.
Mia’s boyfriend just came from other country after two years, and that day they booked a restaurant to celebrate his birthday together with their anniversary.
Summer, she is not a lazy girl who just act sleepy every time her friends want to share some problems. She is still struggling to get a job and that day, she just came back from several interviews since the early morning and was lacking of sleep preparing for the interviews the night before.
Lily’s dad just got hospitalized two days before and Lily didnt tell anyone yet. So she need to go to hospital every day to take care her dad since her mom also working and cannot have much time to take care her husband. Lily replaced her mom role in this case.
If only Jena knew….
