(What in the gods' names did he just say right now???)
"Hahaha~ um... I'm sorry, but I have no sort of experience in those realm of things either," I blurt out.
"I look forward to—"
London looks at me confused, then he opens up his mouth as if he wants to say something. Then, the words are finally said.
"Wait one second, Poppy didn't tell you about the other thing?"
"Master Gremory only mentioned that as the second student body leader of the Grande Blume, I shall serve you as to how you see fit."
"I want you to listen to me," he continues "have you realized what you've been wearing this entire time, Scarlett?"
(What I'm wearing? Well, the dress was a little much for male overkill.)
Taking my left hand, he slips off the ring—a silver band that had a black, tribal design off of my pinky.
"Oh that! That was given to me through mail when my academy application form approval letter was sent to my address," I say.
Dumbfounded enough, I watched the white-haired angel reach into his pocket. Grabbing something out, he holds out his clenched palm only to reveal two nearly identical ones; the other one, however, bore a color of gold... the meaning of this was?
"This is a tad bit difficult to explain, but I can tell you all the details tomorrow after you meet the others. I'm pretty sure Mina will be happy to know another female joined the crew."
Slipping the ring back on my finger. He slips his on as well. As I'm lost in my own thoughts, London looks down at his feet and puts his hand on the back of his neck.
(Ack! Shit, forgot where I was in the moment for a sec.)
"Is she the so-called Eyeball Goliath? Can't wait to meet her as well."
Breaking the long pause of silence, he looks at me and grins.
"Splendid! You two will get along to a fine beginning. Now, let's carry on, shall we?"
As he takes lead to return to the correct route to my house, he extends his hand out.
In the spur of a moment, a whirlpool forms on the surface of the waters. Taking it's true form, the monster's tentacles squirm as it screeches in pure excitement at the site of the flesh-filled demon and angel that stood in front of it.
"Seems like tomorrow's dinner came early. An Octostar Abyssal too? What a hectic day this has been, but thank gods."
After saying so, London hums in delight and puts his eyes on me.
"Sorry Scarlett, but I'm gonna need you for this one. Think of it as a test for your position, will it be okay?"
"I haven't slaughtered this type of Abyssal creature for a meal, but I'll be looking forward to dinner tomorrow, Sir."
"Good, especially since I'll be the one doing the cooking. 🎵"
Yawning, I study my focus on London. It was probably past my streaming hour, but that could wait.
"First Form Ascension, Light."
Blinding my eyes, London's clothes take a change into their ascension as his body glowed brightly. His white admiral attire suited him perfectly as the war cap on his head complimented the color of his suit as well. Golden ribbons, reward medals, and whatnot adorned his outfit. His wings now sprouting out once again, he plucks a feather and transforms it into two rapiers. He lunges towards its back, stabbing it in one strike.
Taking steps towards the monster, I go closer to one of its tentacles and stare at it straight in the eyes.
"SCARLETT! Don't get too close or-"
"Relax," I reply.
With my dress flowing in the ocean's breeze, I take a look back at London, and with minimal effort, I rip one off its body and the animal screeches in terror.
"Kinda hungry, so I'll do a taste test."
As my horns and tail grow reappear, I take my hand and touch the torn off tentacle. As I sucked its life form, the tentacle is sapped of its meat, leaving nothing but a squirmy pile of skin on the sand.
"I swear this would taste better with cajun spice, but octopus with soy sauce sounds fine too~" I giggle at it.
Roaring, the Octostar Abyssal snaps out of its petrification, fiercely smashing it's other nine live ones on the ground, causing a messy scene.

I wasn't dreaming after all. This was the real deal of seeing such sheer force that compared to mine. As the cloud shadows over her once more, her Ascension Form becomes visible.
Scarlett's battle attire was that of a short, shoulder-less black dress that had the front part divided. On one leg, a leather garter belt was present while the other had a black stocking. Though scandalous on one part—the long, silk cape embroided with yellow topaz at the end of the fabric connected to the front of the dress and wrapped around her upper arms which gave her an elegant look—her footwear was noticeably gone. As she dodges the tentacles that come her way at a sonic speed, she successfully rips off three more tentacles.
(What is this hunger I'm feeling again? The cinnamon scent just got stronger!)
"Sorry about my crappy generic intro from earlier, but I'll do it properly this time,"
She wielded no weapons, yet forming from the tip of her horns was a white orb.
°.*•Let the sky you love fall, oh my beloved stars.°•*
As she starts to chant, the orb becomes slightly larger and becomes unstable.
(If I can remember, demons shouldn't be able to use light source powers. Then what exactly is she?)
•*.°Dream et Moonwaltz.*•°.
The beam shoots through the Abyssal's eye, piercing it through the head, swiftly killing it as it falls to the ground with one last bloodcurdling scream. Scarlett makes her way towards me, curtsying.
"My name is Scarlett Summers, a demon and quarter-blood witch. I am called the Gluttony Melody. Nice to meet you, London."
"You're a quarter witch? Is that why you didn't mention that during your introduction at the gymnasium earlier?"
She chuckles a bit, grinning with a hint of regret on her face as she puts a finger on her lips.
"Well, seeing how you freaked out, I wouldn't want that to set the crowd's expectation further if I mentioned I'm two-blooded. Keep this a secret, alright?"
"Scarlett. That is some immense power you hold," I awed.
Returning the favor, she clasps both of my hands in hers. Her horns and tail disintegrate into the thin air, honey-colored irises shining in the moon's light as her white dress swayed quietly in the wind.
"And to serve and act as your shield, I will do my best as Miss Number Two."
Letting go of my hands, she yawns and takes lead of the stroll as I descend out of my battle attire.
"So since I've passed with flying colors, can we have takoyaki as my reward tomorrow? I'm craving street food."
"Haha. You, my dear, are a strange one."
"Dear? Strange? Seems even more peculiar to come out of the Grande Blume Idol's mouth."
"Hush, it's getting late. You should teleport back home."
She takes out her phone and checks it. She shakes her head, looking disappointed by something, but quickly wears the expression off.
"Hmphhhh. I'm not a kid you know, it's only 7:30," she pouts.
"Then... would you like to grab a quick bite with me whilst you wait in anticipation for the meal tomorrow? I know a good place where they serve good bubble tea."
"Franken's Eyes Scream? I've been there once, but haven't tried the Bubble Tea Matcha Flavor yet."
"Shall we carry on then while the night is still young?"
Scarlett smiles, "I'll take you up on that offer."
