If the character is wearing Converse sneakers, they will always make a distinctive flopping noise ("floppa") on the floor/ground, no matter what surface he/she either walks or runs on. (Note that the shoes I wear changes occasionally, as I never trip on untied shoelaces on the oversized high tops whenever I either walk or run, but always avoid escalators whenever possible)
