Dear Grandpa and Grandma,

How are both of you? It’s only been a few days but I have miss you both greatly.

I’ve reach Arcane City and I boarded the train to Hilmoria, suddenly feel so nervous but I’m excited as well.

And I’ve already met some new friends, they’re going to the capital for the Walfore Academy’s admission as well. All of them are from the great houses!

There’s Genevieve Hedley, we call her Eve. She’s very beautiful! Even prettier than Sarah from next door. And she seemed really strong as well. And then, there’re Eve’s childhood friends, Noah Lenn and Alec Chance.

Noah is really elegant and gentle. He seemed intelligent as well. He had this kind of look in his eyes when he look at Eve.

Bliss paused at this, she slightly tilt her head up and steal a glance at the trio just sitting a few feet away from her. Eve saw her writing a letter and went over to the boys seats to give her some privacy. She saw Eve laughing at something Alec said, Noah just glances at Eve with…

Before she can thought further, Noah noticed her stare and look over at her. Bliss awkwardly give a wave and quickly focus back on her letter.

I couldn’t put my finger to how to describe it. But...it kind of seems like how you look at grandma. And Alec, he had a pair of beautiful eyes that shines like purple gemstone. But, he had a bad attitude. We just met but he already keep making fun of me. You know, I always thought those nobles will seemed proud and will scoff at us normal people. But, thus far, they had been nothing but nice to me. I guess, not all nobles are not like what people say.

Oh oh! And I got a cute pet now! An adorable puppy I found in Arcane City. It’s Blitz. I already have so many things to tell you and grandma.

Bliss

After putting the letter into the flowery envelope, she wrote on her home address and paste a stamp on the envelope; Bliss clicks on the mail bird symbol button on the handle of her seat.

With a soft glow emitting from the button, a chubby bird with small eyes wearing a postman hat and small bag appear in front of Bliss. Bliss immediately hand over the letter with a ‘thank you’, she looks at the train window as the bird flew right through it and into the sky. A smile couldn’t help but bloom on her face.

“Anything you want to order?”

An hourglass body lady with perfect makeup hand over a luxury looking menu to Bliss.

After looking at the menu, Bliss almost bite her tongue. What kind of price is this?! Even plain water cost more than my one day meal.

“This is what a vip treatment is.” Alec said, taking away the menu from Bliss’s hands. “From the looks of it, I’m pretty sure you can’t afford any of these.”

Bliss pouts, glaring at Alec as he places order with the lady.

Bliss thought Alec is dramatic who knows what she saw later on is even more dramatic.

The seat not too far from her, she saw a boy almost her age wearing a lot of gold chains and rings on him. She swear she is almost blinded by the shiny jewelries. And on the table set up on his seats are lots of expensive looking food.

“You see this gem. My daddy was planning to buy me an island but when I saw this, I just have to get it. So, my daddy use the money to buy me this as well.”

Bliss looks at the green gem, it is as big as a strawberry.

“They call it Medusa’s eye. They say those who unlock the gem’s power, you will have Medusa’s power.”

When he said this Bliss could feel many pair of eyes instantly sweep towards the gem, even Eve and the others.“Eve.” Bliss said, after swallowing a potato cube.

In the end, Bliss had dinner together with them; Eve said Alec may seems mean but he is actually kind-hearted. Like her VIP pass, Alec is the one who helped to upgrade it.

“Hmm?” Eve tilt her head, signalling Bliss to continue.

“Is what he says true?” Bliss point towards the direction of the gem with her fork.

Alec smirked, arms crossed. “Impossible. It may cost a fortune but definitely not the real thing.”

“Wh-” Bliss was about to ask further when Blitz suddenly jumps towards her, sitting on her thigh.Bliss felt like fainting when she saw what he brought back.

Blitz look at her innocently holding up the thick pure gold chain, signalling Bliss to put it on him. Noah lightly laugh at this.

“Blitz, where did you get this? Quickly return this back.” Bliss think that she really need to take some time to teach what is right and wrong to this little hound.

Before Blitz can return it, a mean and angry voice sounded.

“What are this dirty mut doing with my gold chain?!” The boy said, snatching the gold chain from Blitz.Bliss figures it belongs to that boy.

“Who are you calling a dirty mut?” Eve glare at the boy.

Bliss lightly touch Eve on the arm, shaking her head. Since Blitz is the one who did wrong and Blitz is her responsibility. So, Bliss immediately apologize to the boy.

“I’m sorry, Blitz doesn’t mean to take your stuff.” Bliss look at the boy apologetically.

The boy was going to throw a fit but then he saw Alec sent him a sharp deadly glare, he felt a shiver run through his spine. Noah smiled at Alec’s action.

The boy scoffed before he walks away, looking at Blitz in disgust.

Bliss let out a sigh in relief.

“Sorry guys.” She scoops Blitz up, deciding to go back to her seat to teach Blitz some lessons.

Bliss thought the incident is over until she is awaken by a door slam. She looks up in a daze, the door is rudely slam open by the boy from before along with the train crews and police officers, the boy is pointing his finger right at her nose.

“It must be her and her stupid dog.”

Bliss just looks at the boy blankly.

“Where is my Medusa gem? Give it back!”

“What?”

“Don’t play dumb! Your dog already took my gold chain, it must be with the dog.”

Bliss glances over at Blitz, Blitz looks at her innocently.

“Blitz, come here.” Bliss scoops it up. “Did you take his gem?” She asked softly.

Blitz shakes its head.

“I’m sure it is all a misunderstanding.”

Hearing the commotion; Eve, Alec and Noah all came to Bliss’s cabin.

“What’s going on?” Alec asked.

“She and her dog stole my gem!”

“What?!” Eve jumped. “That’s not possible!”

The boy crossed his arm. “The dog stole my gold chain yesterday and I know Bliss is poor, my gem cost a fortune. Why it is not possible?”

“You…” Eve’s eyes glow and her hand is turning into a leopard’s paw when Noah quickly grabs her hand, giving her a slight shake of his head.

“All right, all right, everyone. I’ll take it from here.”

Bliss looks at the man, his name tag says ‘Officer Tom’.

“Whatever the situation is, I’ll need everyone from this passenger car to cooperate, my partner and I will need to ask a few questions.”

This directly pop out in Bliss’s mind when Officer Tom took her into a room. Bliss tailed behind him and enters the room with a few pair of worried eyes following her. Before the door shuts close, Bliss gave them a reassuring smile.
