I don't mean to lecture you about feminism, but this is the most feminist thing I've drawn yet: a girl showing interest in a guy.
Wait....what?!?
Yup. She flies in the face of decades of tv tropes that say women are supposed to shut up and be pursued, men are supposed to speak and pursue, aren't supposed to "give it up too easily" (or at least make sure she can use drinking as an excuse if she does...that generally doesn't look rapey at all (/sarc)).
Taco isn't "winning her over", here, she is not an object but a subject: she wants to win him over.
...and she doesn't use fear of rejection or rape as an excuse to stay passive like what I like to call "fearmongering feminism" either. She knows there is a risk, but she has the girl-balls to live with it.
The blog of Dr. Nerdlove aka Harris O'Malley showed me how the nerds of my generation have been affected by cliches we've seen in movies (American Pie came up when I was 13) to the point of thinking this is how real human beings act, even when what we experience in real life says otherwise but those "people" we see in movies aren't people with a mind of their own, they are characters that came out of someone's mind.
