Dinner Time Fun Time

Dinner Time Fun Time

Mar 10, 2019

I went back into my room after that whole ordeal, laying back on my bed, making the shitty springs creak.
Comfortable bed, annoying springs. That was always the case.

After a few minutes of listening to complete silence, and the occasional barking dog, I decided to change out of my school clothes and into some pajamas.

Looking around my pigsty of a room, I came to the conclusion that I'd most likely just have to wait until bedtime rolled around.
Yes I have a bedtime, don't judge.

My dad called me down for dinner not a moment after, so I quickly ran downstairs, smelling Chinese food from the top step.

"Hope you don't mind takeout, I forgot to take the chicken out of the freezer this morning." My mom said.

Wow, I can't believe mom is actually talking to me.
I thought.

"And, I'm sorry for yelling at you earlier. It took me by surprise, its not everyday you hear that your daughter  wants to become a boy all of the sudden."

I bit my lip and sat down.
This was going to be fun.

"I'm not so sure it works that way, honey."
My dad said, getting a look from my mom.

"You're supposed to be on my side, not hers."

I gritted my teeth, taking a bite of the food in front of me.

"I'm on no ones side. I'm just saying, we should accept her- HIM, he's our child. If we can accept him as gay, we can accept him now."

My mom slammed her hands on the table, making our drinks spill onto the table a little. She wasn't getting her way, and now she was mad.

"Being gay isn't the same thing as being "trans". Its a mental illness, that can't be cured. And I won't sit down and see my daughter  turn into something she's not."

This time I slammed my own hands on the table.

"Then fucking throw me out of the house, then. DISOWN me, I don't care. I really thought maybe you'd be accepting, just a little bit, but no. My own mother, my own flesh and blood, is another piece of transphobic trash. You may not like what I am, but its ME. And you can't change anything  about it."

And with that, I stormed up to my room, slamming the door behind me like a hormonal teenager.
