"Babe you need to come try your tuxes for the reception, we don't have much of a time now you know"
Rosy's voice rang through Nicks car. He drove past the hotel entrance to the parking lot.
He was scheduled to meet the returning pack member in another fifteen minutes.
Unlike all the other members of the family Nick, the next Alpha in line never found his Mate.
And at the age of twenty nine, both him and his family agreed that he might never meet his soul mate.
Being the self-reliant guy he was Nick didn't find this a problem. His wolf and himself both were way too proud and enjoyed their independence a lot.
In fact they enjoyed it way too much sometimes that it drove away his girlfriends. Making it very difficult for them to have a clingy partner.
However his now fiancée Rosy was a strong woman who was extremely sexy and feminine. She brimmed with self confidence.
Sure Nick knew he didn't exactly love her, but he was quite fond of her.
Although they were brought together by their parents, both of them got along well and liked each others company. For Nick it was much more like a business deal he had to made for the greater good for his packs future.
Unlike most women Nick had dated before Rosy always took her duties seriously and was responsible. To top all that she wasn't a clingy partner.
She came from a good lineage and was the only daughter of Beta Franck Nickolas, which made her gain the packs respect.
Nick knew Rosy would suit the role of the next Luna rather than any of the candidates his parents brought up or any of the girls he dated in the past due to these basis.
"I'll try Rose, I'm here to meet Shay to handover some documents."
Nick parked his Black R8 and started gathering the documents his dad handed him over the other night.
"Oh, that bitch's back already?"
she exclaimed with an extremely unhappy tone.
"Rose, just because you are my fiancée doesn't mean you can insult our pack members. Plus I used to look after the kid when she was small."
Nick left a soft growl. He leaned back into his seat relaxing after the long drive thinking why women could be difficult sometimes. Disconnecting the Bluetooth connection from his car, he took the phone to his ear and started walking towards the entrance of the hotel.
"Eien" was written the on the hotel name board.Hmm what an unusual name for a hotel.
The pathway to the entrance was white marble and it divided in to two by a water fountain with a Goddess statue in the middle.
"Sorry Nick, It's just that.....well I always thought you two got along so well in the past it kinda slipped."
Got along well? She got to be joking right? It was more like I was babysitting the troublemaker in the pack to keep her in line. God.
Letting out a sigh Nick thought but decided to keep this to himself. He wasn't in a mood to argue.
He was exhausted with all the arrangements and meetings for the next annual dance party being held by his pack tomorrow and yet his dad insisted on him going on this errand. So much for being the next in line. Future Alpha the errand boy.
The Shay Nick knew was tremendously stubborn and would always get into some kind of trouble within seconds. Whatever she was told not to do, the girl definitely did.
Which resulted on bringing the current Alpha never-ending trouble when ever the kid was out, he had no choice but to make Nick keep tabs on her all the time.
Although he hated it first, the little Shay could always make Nick break a smile. With time he got used to it.
She might have being naughty little devil but Shay was a kind girl in heart. She disregarded the fact that she was a werewolf and preferred to act like a normal human all the time.
Not even once did she think of herself as a special being. Where as most of the shape sifters thought themselves as much better species than normal humans who were unaware of their existence.
Hence brought all the trouble of trying to sneak out the pack grounds and picking on fights with twice larger wolfs than her and etcetera etcetera.
Funnily circumstances have changed drastically for the past 8 years. Shay moved away when she was 16. Knowing the kids personality her parents gave their consent right away when she wanted to explore the world.
And now she had decided to come back home due to her father's poor health as Nick was informed.
"Shay is here with her mate. She got married 4 years ago so nothing to worry about."
Finally reaching the entrance of the hotel Nick replied.
Nick knew this would settle Rosy's mind as werewolves tend to be extremely possessive of their partners. Childhood friends or not they will not be able to be close or whatever Rosy was worried about.
The huge glass doors opened automatically and Nick could see that the reception area which was quite extravagant.
There were huge tree ferns on every corner in the room and luxurious looking sofas set out near them for the guests to relax. Everyone was being served a reddish drink and a hot towel as greetings. Fancy.
"Really? That is so great babe. I don't want her hanging around you too much now that she is not a kid anymore, Anyway ohhh my dress is here."
Rosy squealed making Nick further his phone a little away from his ear.
"I'll call you back. Bye babe."
Rosy hung up hurriedly making the man sigh of relief.
God this damn wedding thing is going to be fucking harder than I thought.
Glancing around and putting his phone in to his pocket Nick approached the receptionist in front of him.
"Welcome to Hotel Eien sir. How can I help you today?"
the girl who was dressed in the light blue and Ash uniform asked with a polite smile on her face.
"I'm here to see Shay Finely. Could you let her know that Nick Trwaly is here to see her?"
"Miss Finely is out at the moment Mr. Trwaly. I was instructed to take her guest to her suite so you could wait on her. She resides in suite 101. Would you like me to guide the way?"
'She is going to make us wait? How dare she? we are the next Alpha in line.'
His wolf decided to pop into his mind and growl. there he goes being dramatic again.
Every werewolf was given a wolf spirit to them. They were unique beings as they had the wolves soul in them.
His wolf and Nick both occupied the same body however in the contrary their personalities were seas apart.
His wolf was silent and unsociable while Nick was a social butterfly just like all his family members. This made him quite popular with the ladies as he had both the charm and cold aloofness that every women couldn't get enough of.
The receptionist flinched making Nick realize his face must have shown up his wolfs anger.
Although he couldn't say he wasn't a bit angry as well, Nick was not fond of making humans scared of him.
'This is Shay we are talking about. You know as much as I do that's how stubborn the kid is and how she doesn't care for our wolf hierarchy. so calm down' For this response his wolf decided to snort and disappear.
Snapping back to his wolf n his mind he gave the girl in front of him a wide smile.
"I would appreciate your help. Thank you. Please lead the way."
The receptionist nodded with a sudden blush in her face.
Women, I really don't get them.
Nick followed the girl who was hurriedly moving towards the elevator which was a little far behind the entry way.
Right when the elevator door opened a trace of an enticing smell hit Nicks sensory cells.
Strange, jasmine in a hotel? Getting in he leaned against the elevator wall to look around if he could find an aroma diffuser inside the elevator. It was a ridiculous thought but as it could not be a human perfume or anything else he had to check.
When they finally reached the 15th floor the smell hit him so hard a small groan left his lips.
Vanilla and Jasmine with a hint of Citrus and Orange.
'Mate. That is our mates smell.' his wolf now openly in his mind declared.
'Mate? You gotta be kidding me right? After all these years? and right one month before the wedding? Can we ignore it?' flinching on the thought Nick got out.
'Well Can you?' Being the sadistic bastard his wolf is, he snickered.
Not wanting to reply to him Nick started walking through the passages. Letting his senses guide him.
He knew that the receptionist got extremely confused when he suddenly started speed walking leaving her behind, but at the moment nothing mattered to Nick and his wolf more than finding their mate.
When he finally reached the four part wooden door which gave away the alluring smell
Nick halted. He couldn't help but be anxious to meet his Mate out of the blue. She might be a human since this was a human hotel but he knew that she will be attracted to him just as he is since they were Mates.
Knocking on a strangers room was not going to be a big deal, he could come up with some excuse after he sees her.
And maybe It could be a werewolf as well who was hiding their presence. Which would make this whole thing way easier as they will be feeling the Mate bond as well. However he couldn't help but be excited.
Thinking all this Nick glanced to the right side of the door to see if there was a bell. Most of the standard hotel suites had one. However his excitement flushed down withing seconds as he realized how much grave the situation was than he anticipated.
101 was written on a small wooden plate.
"Shit"
Nick mumbled. Nah there must be a guest with her. Of course. It wouldn't make sense if not.
He could feel footsteps rushing behind him. The receptionist had an astonished look on her face when she made her way to the door.
"I did not know you knew the way to the suite Mr. Trwaly. Our passages are a little hard to differentiate at first."
Ignoring her statement
"Does anyone else occupies the room rather than Ms Finely and her husband?"
Nick questioned the young girl who was swiping her key card through the lock.
"Only Miss Finely occupies the room Mr. Trwaly. No one else."
Opening the door the receptionist gave a small glance at him and replied meekly.
Double shit. I am so screwed. How am I going to explain it to my family who are planning a fucking wedding that I found my mate and that she is married to someone else? Shit, wait Isn't she supposed to be marked already?
Barging into his thoughts
'That doesn't matter. She is our mate and we will have her one way or another.' his wolf grumbled.
Nick followed the girl inside and thanked her. Giving her greetings she left.
I will reject her. I can't have a married woman as my mate. The pack will never accept her as the Luna.Still standing in the middle of the room Nick thought determined.
But making all his determination thrown away by the window he felt it. A presence he couldn't deny.
The alluring sweet smell multiplied making him go out of control. His body started tensing up, heart started beating a mile for a second. Not knowing what to do Nick turned.
There she was, Such enchanting beauty which he had never seen before.
Deep violet hair, Beautiful Ash eyes, Skin pale yet pink cheeks. Thin yet full pink lips, Toned body slim yet curvy as it's supposed to be.
Shay stood in front of him with her eyes widened and her face filled with surprise.
