"Shay?"
His voice, was deep and sexy and the way Nick called her name had shivers running in Shays spine.
How can puberty be this cruel. I never knew Nick could be this Handsome. What did he do the eight years I was away? Eat the forbidden apple? God dammit.
I can't believe I Just thought Nick was handsome, I've known him for half my life. Damn this is so embarrassing.
Argh I really have to get a grip.
After taking a good long second Shay straightened her face gave a light smile in hope of greeting him.
"Hey Nick. Long time no see. Hows life? I didn't expect you to be the representative from the pack you know. Since you are the next Alpha and all. I do apologize for keeping you wait. I had to go grab some brunch."
Showing him the food on her hand Shay managed to let the words out trying her best not look flustered.
If being a waitress for 2 and a half years taught Shay anything, It was to keep her face straight and how to keep her calm with a difficult customers.
And this guy, the one in front of her would be the most difficult customer she had ever faced. With his angelic face and that sexy voice of his.
Still with his amused face, Nick crept closer without uttering a word until the space between them became a little more than a inch. Their bodies now so close to touching each other.
"Mine"
he whispered in his deep low voice.
This was enough to make Shays knees go all wobbly. Nick locked his eyes on hers and slowly pushed the door behind them shut. Shay could feel his left arm reaching her waist pulling them closer.
When Nicks eyes had turned lupine Shays wolf started hopping like a bunny inside her head purring and whining. She sure was super excited to see her mate. The wolf part that was.
With all the strength she had, Shay tried to pull away knowing if this continues her self control will crumble.
She was not willing to give Wolfy away her body knowing the excited wolf inside her might jump on the opportunity and by the time she had gained the control back she might be out of reach for help.
Sadly she failed on her attempt to break away, making his grip even tighter than before. Their bodies glued together, Sparks and tingly feelings running all over her.
Shay did the only solution she could think of that time. She swiftly broke eye contact, looked down and spoke slowly.
"I'm sorry Nick. I do not need a Mate in my life. And furthermore aren't you supposed to be getting married in a month?"
She asked trying to make the man get a grip of the situation.
He could look like an angel but she was not willing to let a man rule her life. Mate or not men were always the same.
Keeping this in her mind she gathered her next thoughts. Wolfy left a sad whine but the wolf did understand what Shay meant. She was as independent as Shay was.
"You don't want me? You are mine my little doll and we will never let you go."
Nick growled.
From the way his voice came out rusty and growly, Shay knew it was his wolf talking.
She wanted to confirm her theory yet did not want to look at him knowing her body will not be able to handle another glance of those beautiful eyes specially when they were in wolf form.
Being this close to him was giving her a hard time already. The sensations she could never feel her whole life was coming into light.
"Nick, I'm married. I cannot be yours."
clenching her fists to keep herself focused Shay murmured.
That should do the trick. He will let me go now that he knows I'm not some pure mate he wanted. I could break free, get a hold of myself and when he is calm I can reject him and we could get on with our lives.
The part rejecting him made Shays heart tightened and she could feel a little prick in her heart which was uncomfortable.
This must be because I wanted to reject my mate. Well I suppose we could live with that. But first I need to get him to calm down.
Rejecting an angry Alpha wolf is not a wise decision. Was the only conclusion Shay could come up with.
Nick however tightened his death grip and while taking Shays chin making her look up to him. Growling slightly
"It doesn't matter. Married or not you are mine and I will make you mine one way or the other"
His eyes still lupine he turned his neck slightly and bent down. And the next moment their lips touched each others.
Shay stood there like a deer in headlights.
Nick kissed her so softly as If he thought she would break. He nibbled her lower lip a little and traced her lips with his tongue but he didn't try to barge in. Which surprised Shay the most.
She knew that Alpha wolves tend to be aggressive around their partner and that is exactly why she was waiting for Nick to calm down.
The thought of a man who she just met after a very long time kissing her for no reason didn't sit well with Shays mind, however her body at that moment couldn't resist his touch.
The small tingly feelings, shudders around her body, legs so wobbly as a newborn calf, Shay couldn't help but let him do what he wants. In all her life She had never felt a kiss with such passion.
