"Oomph!"
Jacquie landed on the ground with a thud. It took her a moment to remember what had happened. She remembered the box. Kyran's guilt. The portal. A sharper stab of consciousness rose within her. She needed her friends. She needed to find Kyran.
Her eyes flew open and she stared straight back into a blue sky. She sat up and swiveled her head to see a strange, but beautiful sight. There were trees ahead in the distance, but they were a dim purple with black leaves, floating a foot off the ground. A gang of elk with gigantic horns were grazing by the edge of a mountain.
But the mountain.
It was a stunning display of colors ranging from pink to yellow that would put any sunset on Earth to shame.
"Enjoying the view?"
Jacquie jumped in surprise and turned to find Kyran standing behind her. She immediately jumped to her feet. "Yeah, it was great. I just have one question: WHERE ARE WE?!"
Kyran said, "Hey, no need to yell. We're on Crowni Cenatari."
Jacquie almost breathed a sigh of relief.
"Wait, how do you know where we are?" she asked.
"Because he's an alien," Kirna's voice said.
Jacquie looked behind Kyran and saw her friends standing there.
Kyran stammered, "W-well you're on my planet now which makes you the aliens."
"Yeah, but back on Earth you were the alien," Kirna retorted.
"Fine, I'm the alien," Kyran said reluctantly, "but we still need to get to my house."
"Okay, will someone please tell me what is going on," Jacquie asked feeling lost.
Johnathan explained. "Well, Kyran's planet is in a major conflict in this dimension and he came to Earth with instructions to find the chosen ones in a prophecy to save his planet before it practically implodes. Now we have to get to his house to find our way to the castle where we are supposed to fix the war."
"Wow," Kyran said. "Couldn't have said it better. Or shorter. Now that everyone is caught up, let's head to my house. It's a long way up the mountain."
