When I started this journal, I wasn't quite sure what I wanted it to be. I had seen beautiful art journals and wanted to do one of my own. At the same time, I wanted to document something out of my day so I could look back on it and remember what I did. I was also hoping to someday pass it down to my kids and their future kids so that my family will know a little bit about me long after I'm gone. The first two pages of this diary reflect this line of thinking.
Since I like to draw comics, this diary evolved into more of a comic diary where I draw out funny things that happen to me or people I know. I still like the art journal idea, so instead of a standard comic with panels, I'm adding a lot of color (I love color!) to the pages.
I'm sure this diary will change as I create new pages. I'm not as bold as the people who make art journals, but I hope to incorporate more of those elements into my work once I'm brave enough.
In the meantime, I hope you enjoy these pages, maybe learn something from them, and have a good laugh along the way.
