“Dear passengers, we will be arriving at Hilmoria in half an hour. Kindly...”
A crystal ball floats through the entryway, making its announcement. Hearing the announcement, Bliss excitedly looks out the window, her eyes sparkles as the majestic sight came into view.
Her breath instantly caught in her throat, her whole life is nested in Daisyfield town, so stepping foot into the hustle and bustle of the capital is overwhelming. The beautifully sculptured city is just like in the paintings and like the miniature city in the snow globe on the shelves of the gift store back in her hometown.
Blitz jumps towards the window, joining Bliss as she tried to take in every inch of the scenery in front of her.
“I wish I have a camera with me.” Bliss muttered as she sat back down but her eyes are still glued to the view outside.
Alec glances over to Bliss briefly before focusing back on the drawing pad in front of him, the pencil in his hand continue to dance on the pages of the drawing pad.
When the train pull to a stop, passengers starting to exits from their respective cabins. When Bliss step foot onto the platform, she is surprised by how crowded the station is. Everyone rushing to get from one point to another, stalls line up around the place selling arrays of knickknacks. Bliss quickly turn around and picks up Blitz, preventing any accidents to happen in this sardine packed space.
Before she can call out to that tiny hamster, she heard a squeak and sure enough the intelligent rodent already resting on her shoulders. She couldn’t help but crack a smile at this. With her hands occupied, Bliss briefly cast her belongings a glance and her luggage float behind her following her every step she goes.
“Now, let’s go~” She said, quickly follow after her friends towards the exit of the station.
The blonde move in the crowd with much difficulty, muttering ‘excuse me’ and ‘sorry’ in between steps.
By the time Eve reach the entrance of the station, Bliss is nowhere to be found.
“I’m going to find them.” Eve said, moving towards the crowds.
“Wait.” Noah said, grabbing Eve by the arm.
“?” Eve looks at him, confused.
“Alec is probably with Bliss.” Noah exclaimed.
And surely enough Noah is right about that.
Bliss tried to squeeze herself out from the crowd to no avail and she already lost sight of her friends.
A cry escape her lips when she collide with a guy, Bliss brace herself for impact when she lost her balance. Instead of ‘kissing’ with the cold hard floor, she felt herself falling into something warm. When she open her eyes, she find herself looking into a pair of amethyst eyes.
The boy circle Bliss’s waist with his arms, holding her closely in his arms. The girl is looking straight into his eyes, he can see the glint of surprise in her clear blue eyes. Clearly she didn’t expect him to come search for her.
Blitz interrupt their gazing with an annoyed bark, rolling his eyes in the process. Seriously, how long do they plan to gaze into each other’s eyes?
Bliss lightly push Alec away and took a step back. He let her go but held her by the hand, earning a questioning glance from the girl.
“Noah and Eve are probably hungry waiting for you.”
And that’s Alec’s attempt of coming up with a reasonable excuse to hold Bliss’s hand.
A string of giggles escape Bliss’s lips: “Thanks.”
Alec’s lips curl into a smile when he felt Bliss hold his hand back.
While the two engrossed in their own world, Blitz felt like gagging.
“Looks like someone is going to be out of favor~” Sherlock said in a sing-song voice, smoking from its pipe.
Blitz sent Sherlock a glare, shifting its gaze towards its owner’s linked hand with the raven haired boy. With a bark, Blitz leaps towards Bliss.
Bliss let out a ‘yelp’, in a flash, she extend both of her arms to catch Blitz. Bliss giggles as the pup licks her cheeks, Sherlock rolled its eyes at this.
The cold morning breeze blew through as Bliss realized they’re already standing by the entrance of the train station.
Realizing the warmth in his hand fades away, Alec stared at his hand absentmindedly; failing to realize that his best friend had been trying to get his attention.
Noah sighed and points the butlers from the Chance house to where the raven haired boy belongings are, clearly Alec is lost in his own world.
Alec came back to his senses when he felt a lick on his cheeks. He instantly looks up and was taken aback by a pair of shining blue eyes.
“I just wanted to thank you.” said Bliss.
Her voice is as sweet and soft as cotton candy, her eyes as clear as the blue sky.
After that, Alec find himself lost again, lost in the crystal clear pond of her eyes.
“Are you sure you don’t want to stay with me? My house has a lot of guestrooms!” Eve said for the up-tenth times, her eyes looking at Bliss pleadingly.
But, Bliss just lightly shakes her head, claiming that she already find a place to stay during the period of Walfore’s entry examination.
For the whole time, Alec is staring at the silvery blonde, oblivious to the gentleness in his eyes. Noah picks it up instantly, looking at his best friend thoughtfully.
Bliss bids her friends goodbye, as Noah and Eve step into their carriages carried by majestic Pegasuses. Alec push a piece of folded paper into her hands before he storms into his carriage.
‘I wish I have a camera with me.’
Confused, Bliss unfold the paper.
Her eyes widen as she looks up into the sky, face beaming with a cheery smile.
On the paper is the majestic view of Hilmoria and the train Bliss ride on.
Grandpa, remember Alec Chance? I guess he wasn’t so bad.
Alec looks out from the carriage window and saw Bliss beaming at him as she mouth him a ‘thank you’.
He flips open his sketchpad, his fingers leafing through the pages pausing on a certain page.
On that page is Bliss looking out through the window, a smile on her face, Blitz lying on her lap and Sherlock sitting on her shoulders. Looking at her gentle feature, a smile crept up on his face.
That day something sprouts in both aspiring magic knights’ heart, though both doesn’t understand it until it blooms through the rainfall of hardships.
