“Hello?”

“Hi Easrim, you sure you can send a witch or wizard over here?” said the voice on the phone

“Yes David, as I told you a hundred times already as long as you keep your end of the bargain I will have one of the witches or wizards come over. Just stop calling me every three minutes to check to see if the answer has changed. It will still be yes. I already talked to some witches and wizards and they said it was fine to show you some magic. Just don’t get disappointed with them if it is not exactly like you pictured it.” Easrim advised

“Yeah, yeah, but still this is exciting that I will be meeting real witches and wizards. Although I want to make sure you aren’t just using the Mage Monstrum Sinum incident to take advantage of me.” said David

“Sorry?” Easrim said confused

“Monstrum Sinum is the game that the guy that caught the wizard was playing at the time and as it showed that there was magic in the world the incident was named the Mage Monstrum Sinum incident.” David said

“Oh ok, but I would never do that to my best friend.” Easrim said a little hurt that David would even think he would ever take advantage of him.

“Sorry, sorry. Your right you never were the type to take advantage of others you even were like that in business, I told you you had to raise the prices on your products otherwise you would go under.” David said in an apologetic voice.

“I was doing well for a potion master.” Easrim said

“You were making more potions than everyone but you charged a faction of what they would charge.” David said

“I was breaking even.” Easrim said

“Yeah but you were starving in the process and you refused to let me send you money.” David said

“I didn’t do anything to deserve that money. Anyway, I am pulling up to the 46 Gorbon Drive so you can’t call back for at least an hour.” Easrim said noticing his location.

“Fine, but I am glad you are now in a well paying job now.” David said.

“Bye,” Easrim said, then he ended the call

As Easrim ended the call the 2019 Holpur rolled up to the gate of 46 Gorbon Drive. Easrim readied himself as he researched the type of people that live here.

“I think your at the wrong house, sir or are you dropping that off just so you know the Carvas’ hate used things so you just ruined it.” said a bored voice from a speaker near the gate.

“My name is Easrim and I am the representative for ‘World Boarding School’ where we prepare you for the world.” Easrim said to the speaker.

“So you are he for Jenny Carvas then?” said the voice from the speaker. Easrim thought he heard anger from the voice.

“Actually I am here for Ruby Sunshine.” Easrim said

Silence

“Could you repeat that name one more time.” the voice said

“Ruby Sunshine” Easrim repeated

“How do you know that name? We are forbidden to speak her name to outsiders so how do you know her name?” the voice asked

“I ask that you don’t look down on the ‘World’ information network.”Easrim said

“So that guy from the A.R.E. let slip from the bubbly drink” the voice said

If Easrim recalled correctly that stood for Abuse Relief Enforcers.

“I ask that you don’t look down on the ‘World’ information network.”Easrim repeated

“So that is a yes. Well I doubt that they will let her go as it would be nice for her to leave this place” said the voice in a sad voice.

“I already called ahead although when you tell them about me mention that I am in a 2019 Holpur.” Easrim advised

“O- ok yeah maybe Ruby will have a better future now. Hang on.” the voice said in a hopeful tone.

There was silence for a minute and then-

“Come on in.” the voice said in a happy voice.

The gate opened and the 2019 Holpur drove up the long driveway, after about a minute a huge house came into view. It was a beautiful mansion with a large fountain with the centerpiece being two cupids facing each other with water coming out of the tips of the arrows. It was still beautiful even though the wings were torn off.

The 2019 Holpur parked itself in front of the large door an older woman which looked like the butler came out of the mansion and opened the door for Easrim and said in a polite tone:

“Mr. and Mrs. Carvas are waiting for you in the guest are in the drawing room. This way please.” said butler as she held the door for Easrim. Easrim got out of the Holpur and the butler shut the door and headed back inside. Easrim followed her into the mansion. When Easrim got in to the entrance hall he didn’t like what he saw. There was a gold statue in the middle of a huge hall that looked like what was placed fairly recently. It had an old fashioned wizard that was one the ground looking up with unseeing eyes and close to the wizard was a stick broken in many pieces and there around the wizard was mythical creatures patiently waiting their turn. And at the center of the statue was a halform in a business suit and a briefcase standing on a rock with a sword in the air as if to say they were superior. Easrim felt so ashamed of being a halform then as he was looking at the statue, but as he noticed that he was being filmed. He smiled and said.

“This is an interesting statue.”

“Yes, Mr. Carvas had this put in yesterday.” said the butler then she proceeded to mutter “Maybe if this was put in last week than those gentlemen wouldn’t have said such things on camera.” Easrim pretended he didn’t hear that, because he knew that if he answered that comment in any way the odds of success would drop close to zero.

“I hope that Mr. Carvas have this made because of that fake Mage Monstrum Sinum incident.” Easrim said

“You don’t believe in that was real?” the butler asked

“This is the real world and we discovered everything with science. Magic isn’t realistic so it is high time people come back to reality and continue living in the real world.” Easrim said

“There was two men that came last week that said they were wizards and they wanted to take Ruby away just like you.” the butler countered.

“You should have sent them to a psychiatric hospital if they really thought they were wizards as they need serious help. However I thank you for your warning and I will make sure to keep a guard around her so that no more lunat… mentally challenged patients try to bring her to their … mental condition.” Easrim said hating the fact that he was calling is seniors lunatics, but he didn’t let it show on his face. While the butler looked taken aback by Easrims comment.

“Um anyway right through here Mr...” the butler said with a disapproving tone.

Easrim ignored the tone and said. “Pax”

“Right through here Mr Pax.” The butler said again as she lead Easrim to a door. She knocked on the door and said. “Mr. Pax is here.”

“Have him come on in.” came a _-_ voice.

“Right in here Mr. Pax.” said the butler as she opened the door to what Easrim guessed was the drawing room. Walking in the room Easrim saw a glass table and two nice leather couches on the couch facing the door was a very round man with big beefy arms and he was taking two full cushions on the couch and right next to him was the tallest woman Easrim had ever seen it looked like about eight feet and eleven inches and she was also the thinnest person Easrim had ever seen. If Easrim looked carefully he could see the outline of most of her bones. It was enough that Easrim was hoping she was taking in more calories than she was losing. This woman was taking about half a cushion. Easrim guessed that this was Mr. and Mrs. Carvas. Mr. Carvas spoke first.

“I heard you like our statue you have a good eye that cost about a million as it is solid gold. Not the cheap, hollow kind ”said Mr. Carvas in a voice clearly trying to show off.

“It was an interesting statue.” Easrim said again

“I know you think it was interesting, but what do you think of the statue itself?” Mr. Carvas pushed. Easrim know he had to get on the Mr. Carvas’ good side for this to work said.

“It was a very artistic piece you can tell the craftsmen-”

“Yeah that is good, I would want nothing less in my home, but what about the theme of the piece?” Mr. Carvas interrupted

“As I told your butler this is the real world not some fantasy world we have to wake up and go back to are everyday life.” Easrim responded. The Carvas were nodding like that is what they believe should be done.

“Although I heard that the headmaster of the school is a magic fanatic.” Mr. Carvas said

“Everyone has their own hobbies, but I can assure you that no one else at our school has those hobbies so as not to influence the children and their futures.” Easrim countered

“Caven Utopia is leading a cleansing of the human race as to clear out the unnatural magical … beings and we are thinking about donating to help the cause.” Mr. Carvas said

Easrim was taken aback by this information he thought for a moment and said “So there is going to by a witch hunt for the mentally challenged people that think they are magical? I don’t think there is a need to go that far.” however this was the wrong thing to say as Easrim immediately found out by Mr. Carvas bellowing.

“WE NEED TO STOMP OUT THOSE UNNATURAL NONMANS BY THEIR ROOTS!!”

Easrim gave a look of disbelief for a different reason then the way he said. “Mr. Carvas, I thought you were a human of reason, but clearly you believe that the the Mage Monstrum Sinum incident was real and you believe in those fantasy loving-” Easrim put a hand to his mouth as if to stop himself from speaking. Mr. Carvas said in a threatening voice.

“Go on what were you about to say?”

“I am not supposed to say.” Easrim in a tone the meant he said too much.

“You sound like you have an opinion of Caven Utopia. If you have an opinion about them say it they are a different school and all.” Mr. Carvas said his eyes daring Easrim to speak.

“This will be my personal feelings on the matter on the information I received. Can you promise me that you will keep this a secret.” Easrim pretended to pled.

“Sure, sure my lips are sealed,” said Mr. Carvas in a tone that didn’t mean a word he said.

Easrim gave a look of ‘please don’t tell’ and said “From are information all Caven Utopia staff are vampire wannabe fanatics.”

There was silence for a moment and Mr. Carvas said in a bewildered tone “Wait, what did you say? I didn’t catch that.”

“All Caven Utopia staff are vampire wannabe fanatics.” Easrim repeated.

Mr. Carvas raised an eyebrow, clearly not believing him. So Easrim continued to say ”They act like Vampires as they believe it will cause them to become Vampires. They even drink the blood of their students so that they can become Vampires.”

“They drink blood of their students?” Mr. Carvas said in a concerned tone.

Easrim knew that Mr. Carvas figured out Caven Utopia’s true Identity. So he pushed a little more and said.

“Why do you think they ask for one pint of blood a day and go up to three pints per day while you age? Plus, think of the name Caven Utopia it screams underground school.”

Easrim decided to make a gamble since he believed the odds were in his favor so he said.

“Although I am sure Minerva Sunshine would have wanted her daughter to learn under Vampires so that she could make a realistic book with Vampires as the main subject.”

“I think she should go!” said Mrs. Carvas

Easrim silently cursed himself for forgetting she was there even though she was not speaking, because of his carelessness he lost the gamble. Easrim had just decided he would keep acting as it might be a useful position in the future when Mr. Carvas said.

“You think that girl should still go to Caven Utopia too?”

Easrim sighed internally he didn’t push hard enough so even with his carelessness he failed.

“No, I think she should go to World Boarding School as my sister probably would want her to succeed in life not continuing in her footsteps” Said Mrs. Carvas

Maybe he didn’t lose the gamble, although what Mrs. Carvas said yes for a different reason you could tell by that look on her face. It was full of rage and resentment. ‘Well’ Easrim thought ‘some siblings just end up having a bad relationship’

Mr. Carvas was taken aback by Mrs. Carvas’ answer

“Peggy, Dear” Mr. Carvas said

“My sister left her to me when she passed, so it is my decision where she goes.” Mrs. Carvas said in a _-_ tone

Mr. Carvas thought for a moment and then finally said “Does it have to do with that letter you refused to show me?”

Mrs. Carvas stiffened and said with a tight lip. “I don’t know what your referring to.”

Mr. Carvas sighed and said “Find that girl can go. Can you take her now?”

Easrim was surprised how fast this was going said. “I have another person that I need to collect today, but that should be fine”

“The sooner the better. Sherry, bring that girl in here along with her bags,” said Mr. Carvas.

“Right away ... sir.” said the butler and then she left the room

“By the way, I will give two million dollars for that 2019 Holpur.” Mr. Carvas said taking out his checkbook.

“It was five point six million dollar purchase and how would I get to my next stop?” Easrim asked

“Fine, I will give you $5,000 and my old company car.” Mr. Carvas said clearly annoyed

“I really appreciate the offer, but it is not my car it is World Boarding School’s car.” Easrim said trying very hard to at least sound like he meant it.
