"Well... Once you feed your cat, we need to leave for Russia!" The man said as he followed Sebastian back to his apartment building. He strolled down the back alleyway and climbed up the fire escape, the man hesitantly following.
"It's safe. Trust me. I've been here for years." Sebastian grumbled, throwing open his window, and climbing through. Sebastian strolled into his kitchenette, the man grunting as he climbed through the window. Once he closed it, Nemo hopped in front of him, sitting angrily on the couch arm. His tail was flicking back and forth, and a deep growl was emitting from his throat.
"Nemo, come here baby~!" Sebastian cooed, the cat's attitude instantaneously changing. He jumped off the couch and ran to his owner, curling up in his arms. "Nemo, you wouldn't mind if Daddy left again, would you?" Sebastian inquired as he opened a can of fancy cat food.
"Meow."
"Good boy." Sebastian stood, putting his own food away, then facing the man, hands on his hips. "Fine, we can go, but just... make sure someone watches my cat. Please?"
"Done." The man let out a sigh of relief, and the two exited the apartment the proper way, down the elevator, and out the front door.
"So," Sebastian started, shoving his hands in his pockets. "Why?"
"Why what?"
"Why me? There are plenty of assassins in the world."
The man pursed his lips, thinking long, and hard. "Well," He started, taking a piece of paper from his pocket and handing it to Sebastian. "I wasn't the one to chose you. I'm just the errand boy. That is who requested you."
Sebastian looked at the paper, which was actually a photograph of a large man with blonde hair, and next to him was a man, taller than him by at least half a foot. His hair and eyes were dark, and on his chin was the beginning of a stubble.
"That's..."
"Your father, yes." The man cleared his throat and took the photo back. "See, in his early years, your father and my boss were quite close. Your father was an assassin, too."
"He was?"
"How could you not know?"
Sebastian went quiet for a long time, just staring at the passing pavement.
"Because I never knew him."
