I work at a home improvement store. My favorite was this guy who wanted me to figure out how much it would cost to build a shed/garage in his backyard.
Every. Single. Question. I tried to ask (how big, is it gonna have an upper level, do you want windows, what kind of roof were you thinking...) got the same response:
"Well how much will it cost?"
I still don't know if he just assumed there was some kind of standard value or that I could magically account for all of the variables and intuit what he wanted to work out the cost of materials for this thing (I mean, did he want it big enough for one lawn mower? To fit a truck? I still don't know)
