Walfore Academy, most prestigious magic academy that nest in Hilmoria. During the time of the year aspiring youth from all across the country traveled to the capital in hope of passing the entrance exam to win a spot to enroll in the academy.

And right now, the headmaster of that said academy is currently sitting at his desk, stacks of what appears to be the applications for the entrance examinations taking up all the space of his desk, the pile of papers built up like a small city. However, this isn’t surprising to the headmaster and his trusty assistant at all, they seems to be use to this sight.

“Well, I see many promising candidates this year.”

Applications floated around the principal as he goes through each of the potential candidates.

“Um?”

The assistant noticed the pause in his action and lightly set down the teapot, placing the cup of tea on his desk.

“Is something the matter, Principal?”

With a flick of his finger, all the applications neatly piled up on his desk except for one, it flew into his hand.

“So, this is your grandchild? Well...well...well...We’ll see whether she got what it takes then.” The Principal turn towards his assistant with a mischievous glint in his eyes, earning a brow raised from the woman.

“I presume there will be slight changes in the entrance examinations?”

“You’re always so smart! Marianne.”

“I prefer to be address as Assistant Anne, Principal.”

“Bwahahahahhahaa! Don’t be such an ice queen, that is why you never gets a date.”

“Principal, I believe this is unrelated to my work and I would prefer that we only discuss work-related matter.”

“Bwahahahahhahaa! Always a boring stick are you?”

His loud, earth-shaking laughter echoes through the halls of the whole campus, all the students and teachers paused for just a second before continuing their tasks in hands.

Just another normal day at the academy.

“Bwahahahahahahaha!”

Assistant Anne calmly glances at the principal’s continuous outburst and decided a reminder is needed: “Principal, your tea is getting cold.”

“Oh shoot!”

Her remark manage to provide a minute of peace and quiet to the campus, well...it will only last while the Principal is having his tea though.

Day of the first preliminary

Dear Grandpa, Grandma,

It’s the day of the preliminary. Eve, Ethan, Alec and Noah have helped me so much on studying for this, I can’t fail them! And I promise I won’t disappoint you guys, I can do this!

Bliss holds her pendant tightly, pursing her lips.

“Bliss, are you okay?”

Bliss felt a weight on her shoulder and she glances up, a smile blooms when she saw that it is her best friend, Ethan.

“I’m okay, just a little nervous that’s all.” She stuck out her tongue playfully. “But, I know grandpa and grandma will be rooting for me back at home. Sherlock, Blitz and Mr Crow even get tickets for this.”

“Aww, you guys are just too precious.”

“Eve, Noah, Alec!” Bliss smile grows brighter as she saw her friends.

Eve kneel down ruffling Blitz on the head, Sherlock dodges her hand. “You’ll wrinkle my hat!”

“Come on, we’re going to be late.” Alec frowns, looking at the fur-ball.

Sherlock points its’ cane at Alec: “Hey, punk! What kind of look is that? Do you want to start something?”

Alec scoff, shaking his head as he walk towards the entrance; stopping just by the door and glances back at them. “Come on, Noah.”

Noah gives them an apologetic look before holding Eve by the wrist leading her to the entrance. Eve urge Bliss to quickly follow after them.

“Yeah, you better run!” Sherlock cried at Alec. Then, look at Blitz and the others. “He is totally afraid of getting beat up by me.”

My Crow eyes beaming at Sherlock. “Sir Sherlock! You’re amazing.”

Blitz: “...”

“All examinee please gather at the examination grounds. All spectators kindly proceed to the audience seating area.”

Crystal balls flew around the stadium spreading the announcement.

Bliss and Ethan quickly rushes into the stadium, Bliss waves at her companions with a big smile as they all root for her.

“Bliss! You can do this!”

“We’ll be at the audience’s seats rooting for you!”

“Good luck, master.”

After Bliss casted the spell Noah teaches her on the three, they can now communicate with each other in human languages. For some reason, Mr Crow kept addressing her as master now; Bliss kept telling him to call her by her name but he can be quite stubborn.

The Walfore Academy entrance examinations always draws in a lot of attention, from the preliminaries to finals, it is broadcast throughout the whole country and citizens can get to see live at the stadium. Even though they need to pay for an entrance fee to get into the stadium, people are still storming into the place as if they are giving out free food. The tickets practically sold out in a blink of an eye.

Even though it is the day, the corridor is dark but not as dark as the night as it is illuminate by glowing balls of light, lining up from the entrance till the end of the corridor. As soon as Bliss step out from the corridor, she can is greeted by a bursting bright light. She can feel the cool winds in the open air stadium; the sun is hanging high up in the sky, instead of bringing heat, the sun rays simply brought white radiance.

Spreading before Bliss’s eyes is nothing that she had ever seen before, living in a small peaceful town, she had never step foot into a place as spacious as this not to mention experiencing a crowd as big as this. She can feel the gazes that fell upon her or should she say on them, around her are kids around her age, same like her, they are also here for the exams.

“Genevieve Hedley!”

Bliss’s train of thought came to a pause due to the cry.

She looks up and saw a petite girl with skin as white as snow, she had one hand on her tiny waist and the other is pointing directly at Eve. Her lips curl up in a proud manner, her posture radiates confidence.

“Well, well, well, if it isn’t Lolli Heartstone.”

Eve took slow but graceful steps towards Lolli like a sophisticated leopard, her upturned almond shaped eyes glances at Lolli like a predator glaring at its prey.

Lolli puffed up her cheeks, having her eyes narrowed at Eve annoyed. “Don’t Lolli Heartstone me! Hedley ! I’m here to beat you ! I’m going to get a rank higher than you'll ever get !”

Lolli hates it when Eve give her that kind of look, like she is a little duckling and Eve will swallow her in one bite! 、

“Rank higher than me? Hah, that’s just ridiculous , How can you get a rank higher than me with you size ? ” Eve chuckles as if the challenge give by Lolli is just a mere child's threat.

“What?!” Lolli gasped obviously offended. She clenched her hand into a tight fist, glaring at Eve.

“My size have nothing to do with this ! I’m going to be the champion!! I'll be first place !” Her frown then twisted into a smirk already thinking she be the first. “and since I’m really generous, you can have the second place. You know, the one below, the one lower than first place where you can only look up at me.”

Eve raised a brow, signalling to Lolli’s height follow by a scoff. “I doubt that .”

Lolli takes in the look in her eyes and felt something boiling in her stomach as she burst. “Make fun of me all you want, but I will come out as the champion!!”

“Yeah right, everybody knows I'm the champion here .”

“Oh heck no !” The two went into an argument the second the meet each other.

Bliss glances at them worriedly, biting her lower lips, anxiously wondering if she should stop this childish bicker.

She then took a step forward but Alec grabs her wrist stopping her. “Don’t mind them. They’re just being childish.”

“But...” Bliss glance to Alec with concerned while Alec just shook his head.

“Childish brats.” Alec scoffed at the two.

“I’m not childish!” The two screams at Alec simultaneously.

Alec crosses his arms, rolling his eyes and give them a look that says ‘Idiots’.

“Just to be clear, he’s talking about you.” Eve said not wanting to look like a brat between the two.

“Excuse me !? I'm not the one here dressing up looking like a spoiled brat , obviously you're the idiot here.” Lolli glared at the tall girl.

And...with that the two's squabble went from who's going to be the champion to who is the idiot.

“Is it really okay to leave them like this?” Bliss pursed her lips.

Noah smiled, responding with a nod. “This is their way of bonding. They are good friends.”

Bliss eyes went wide with realization, “I see!”

“Yeah, you won’t argue with some random strangers right?” Noah continued with his explanation.

Ethan looks at Noah like (;￣ー￣川 Somehow I feel this is odd.

Bliss takes a long look at the two’s interactions, then she turned back at Noah, her eyes sparkling with admiration.

“You’re right! I can see it now! You’re so smart, Noah!”

Bliss...after all these years, you haven’t change at all, aren’t you. Once again, Ethan feel (￣Д￣；；

Somehow, Alec feels Bliss’s admiring gaze and compliment words towards his best friend is irritating, usually he will feel proud when someone shows awe towards his best friend but now it is exactly the opposite. Brows furrowed, Alec finds himself squeezing in between Bliss, blocking her beaming gaze.

Bliss blinks and glances up at the tall boy, giving him a little smile before she turned and chat with Ethan.

As soon as Alec met with Bliss’s sky-like eyes and her bright smile, he instantly looks away. Noah didn’t fail to capture the red painted ears of his best friend.
