"Thank you." Henry said as he downed the last of his drink before tossing the cup away. Nolan drank and made a face as the taste hit him. It must be his first time drinking.

Nolan threw his cup away and stood with finality, "Henry, can I talk to you outside for a minute?"

Henry followed him out of the room with a sigh. He was small enough that if he did attack, Henry could dodge him with ease. Henry knew he would have to deal with the consequences of marrying Ellie sooner or later. No one came without added baggage, Nolan was hers. It was better than he made the explanations than Ellie, who looked like she had run around the track until tired. She had curled up into a ball of anxiety.

In the hallway, Henry closed the door. Nolan began to talk, but Henry shook his head and lead Henry to an empty waiting room. Nolan was staring him with such intensity, Henry wondered if he thought he could bore a hole into his suit with the force of his eyes alone.

"You can talk now," Henry said with the ease of someone used to dealing with prickly clients.

Nolan crossed his arms as he spoke darkly. "Can you tell me what your intentions are? Is it a thing for CEOs to marry girls who are defenseless. Ellie doesn't have much time left? Are you doing this for the right reasons? After she dies aren't you just going to move on to the next model? Does she mean anything to you?"

Henry bit the inside of his lip. This explained his withdrawn expression, if Nolan was on to his predicament. He was so close, but Henry wouldn't give him the satisfaction of ruffling his feathers. "No. These conclusions are preposterous. Do you really trust your sister's judgement so little? She's a strong woman, she wouldn't let someone take advantage of her. She's definitely not someone who needs anyone's permission to do what she thinks is best."

Nolan grew incensed. "So you're what she thinks is best. You think I'd believe that for a second. To think she wasn't manipulated into your schemes. Businessmen are always corrupt and liars. Ellie's never mentioned you. Who are you to come out of nowhere to mess with our lives. I doubt she would do something like this unless she was forced. She's mine to give away."
