I once went to a pride parade

And before you decide I am unchristian

supporting vile displays of sodomy in the streets

let me tell you this;

I wasn't there for the parade

No, I was on the sidelines

observing the signs pointed up at the sky

saying GOD HATES FAGS and THEY DESERVE TO DIE

allowing simple peculiarities to penetrate my mind;

what happened to "God so loved the world", and "all have sinned"- No one is divine.

So tell me why the modern church so resembles that of the Pharasees,

why we excommunicate the sinners like a hospital that only takes the healthy

Why this elitist club is what we call Gods mercy

as though this brutalized isolation will cause anything but hatred

Unless you are trying to give the world stockholmn syndrome

this is just therapy session you've built from your resentment

It's no wonder we are treated like a hate group

we give them judgment we've no right to use

God is the only true judge

so who are we to hold an unrighteous grudge

we've become trapped in our own arrogance

deciding we can play god, demanding repentance

Abandoning the fact we all deserve hell, if it wasn't for God's own son, felled

forgetting Jesus came to die loving the beggar and the blind

as though the sinners aren't God's people

as though we've never sinned

Replacing logical thought like it's a rubbish bin

You're not spreading the love of God through this radicallization

all you've done is gathered the hatred of each and every nation.

This poem is an ode to the failure of most modern churches; Christianity was never about judgment, in fact, the bible states it's two greatest rules; Love God, and Love your neighbor as yourself. The worst way to bring about change is through yelling, instead, facts are the best. But no matter; all people deserve equal rights, the bible is clear on that. No one should be treated any less, sinner or not, because we've all sinned.
Ps: I don't know if anyone listens to the songs, but this one is BRILLIANT.

If the fruit were forbidden I would chase it
Not for the knowledge but the thrill
the adrenaline spike is what tore us from goodness
adventure draws me steady
for forbidden fruit ever tastes more sweet
