I awakened to my mom furiously shaking me. "Theo Vincent Paris, I will not move your luggage to your dorm room," my mom yelled, pointing at me with a stern look. I groaned and rolled to my side. Before I could drape the sheets over me, my mom yanked them free of my grasp. "Ok... Ok, I get it!" I moaned while getting into a sitting position. "You're really your father's son" she sighed before making her way out my room. I grunted in response. I look around my empty room, a sense of sadness overwhelmed me. 'It's my last day at home' I thought.
"Theo, hurry up and get downstairs to eat breakfast!" my mom blared from the kitchen. I rolled off the bed and treaded my way there. I smelled heaven when I walked in. She smiled at my pleased face. "Hungry," she asked, raising her brow a bit. I walked to a chair and scooted it out. "Very," I said proudly. My mom grabbed my chin and kissed my cheek. " Love youuuu!" I howled after giving her my cheesiest smile. "Eat fast because you still have to move to the dorms." my mom said as she made her way to the chair next to me.
"So... ready for college?" she asked while munching on her own food. I swirled my bacon and eggs around before saying, "I guess I'm going to be homesick for a little, but I'm kinda excited to go to college. I get to meet new people, also." She scoffed at my comment. The redness of my face earned me a chuckle from my mom. My mom walked out of the room, leaving me alone in the kitchen. I sat there eating delicious food for ten minutes.
The pat at my shoulder startled me a bit. "Ready?" my mom said, jingling the car keys in front of my face. "Yea, just let me get changed," I replied. After changing and moving all the boxes in the car, I finally got into the car. I dragged out a long sigh. "Don't tell me you're tired after moving just six boxes. This is why I tell you to get some exercise." my mom mumbled. " Mom, I got no time for exercise. The only time I got is for food and sleep," I argued as I stared out the car window. The ride to the college seemed forever. When we got there, I had to once again move everything to my dorm. The last set of stairs I walked was agony. As I stood before my room, I checked if I grabbed all my stuff from the car. While I did that, I thought about the goodbyes me and my mom exchanged. 'I'll miss her and dad.' I sadly thought. I brought out my keys to the room and unlocked the door. I slid open the door, and, to my surprise-
