I jolted awake as I felt pain zoom throughout my body. I winced, slightly brushing my feet. I pat the space around me until I felt something soft graze my fingertips. Slowly, I turn my bed light on to see Jacob sleeping on the floor. I nudged him awake and whispered, "Jacob, wake up," he fluttered his eyes open, "What happened?" He caressed my forehead before grumbling, "I should be asking you that question,"
Not realizing, I smacked his hand away. I tried to get up, but he pushed me down. "Hey!" I yelled, narrowing my gaze. "I was scared to death. I need answers before I take care of a stranger!" he snapped, eyes clouded with frustration. "So, who's Travis?" he questioned. I stared at the wall as if it would take me out of the situation. "An ex," I whispered lightly. I hoped he hadn't heard me, but I was proven wrong when he squeaked, "So... you're gay?" I didn't say anything for a while before nodding.
He squeezed my hand as he moved to my bandages. "DON'T! Th-they still hurts..." I awkwardly drooped my head. He chuckled and softly mumbled, "I won't hurt you..." He unwrapped my bandages, and I scrunched my nose at the gruesome sight. I saw cuts in every direction as he continued to unwrap the bandages. My feet throbbed in agony when they were fully exposed; I whined softly at the pain. He cupped my cheek and whispered, "I'm, sorry if it hurts,"
He sprinted to the bathroom and came back with peroxide and alcohol in his hands. I shifted away at the sight of the combo. "Uh... You are not putting that on my cuts," I blared, slightly whimpering. "I need to clean your wounds," he grunted, shifting his gaze towards me. I pouted along with my puppy eyes, hoping he would change his decision. He softened up, but he firmly looked away. "Just make it fast..." I pouted as I slumped my shoulders. He dabbed both peroxide and alcohol on my cuts. I cursed and cried, "Shit, why do you got to do both?" He didn't respond to my question. While he stayed silent, I watched him wrap clean bandages around my feet. When he finished his task, he walked to his bed and plopped down. "Its five in the morning. Get some rest," he sighed. I wiggled my feet that were starting to feel better. I turned off my bed light and immediately passed out.
