“Hey. Well, if it isn't the Lily of the Valley! I've missed you so much!” James said, cracking a wide smile.
“James…. I'm so sorry. All those years ago…. I” She choked up on her own words.
“Hey, it's okay, your here now! I'm here. And that is all that matters.” He said, as the two hugged. Once she pulled away and smiled sheepishly, James moved to the side of the room to allow Parker to do her thing. “I'm gonna grab us some water. Be back soon~!” He said and walked off in the direction of the kitchen. Once she was checked our, she stood up and bumped into Ark.
“Oh, sorry Ark! I didn't see you coming!” She apologised profusely.
Ark just stared at her and his eyes turned a pinkish hue.
Lily looked over at Ark and noticed his staring. “What is it? Do I have something on my face?” She asked in a concerned tone. Ark just stared at her while his eyes turned a pinkish hue. He looked away and hid his face, which was red as a tomato. Geez, she really is being friendly. And why am I blushing?! He thought then shook his head. No way I cannot have a crush on her! It’s just not possible.
“Are you ok?” She asked. Her sudden words startled him, but he took deep breaths. His eyes change back to brown and he turned around.
“Yeah I’m fine.” Ark smiled then got up and walked away awkwardly taking deep breaths. Yeah, let’s ignore that for now. He thought calming himself down. Lily sighed and walked past Ark in a rush. She tucked a stray strand of her hair behind her ear as she wrapped her arms tighter around her body. Since the room she was in was on the upper level, she walked out on one of the many balconies. She shut the glass door as gently as she could and crumpled to her knees. She pulled up her leather jacket sleeve to reveal a moving heart tattoo. She sighed as tears slipped down her cheeks when she saw the heart was black and shattered like glass.
“So. That is what it feels like to be broken hearted…. That explains the pain in my chest...” She commented quietly to herself before rolling her sleeve back down. She allowed more tears to slip down her face as she sat back against the walls. “Is this what you wanted, Zeus?! Did you really want me to feel all of this pain?!” She wailed out in agony. Her heart ached and longed for….. Well, she didn't quite know what it was longing for. She just knew that this longing was Zeus’ doing and it's a part of her curse. She then hung her head in defeat, allowing her body to succumb to the everpressing darkness, and it's not the kind that came with Jahaada. All she felt was numbness and the only sounds she heard were the sounds of her heart fracturing with every passing second she stayed in the dark. Kaito got up and put his coat back on, picking up his case full of vials. Rin packed up her bag and smiled gently at Kaito.
“Don't suppose you got a vile to make my eyes work again, do you?” She joked with a small chuckle.
“I have one that would give your eyes enough strength to heal better, allowing you to see easier and not use up too much energy to see.” Kaito offered taking out a bottle with purple liquid.
“Oh wow, I was joking, but okay…..?” Rin said, shuffling nervously on her feet.
“Here.” Kaito handed it to her and smiled brightly. Rin blushed softly, though you couldn't see it through the bandages, which had been freshly replaced free of charge, of coarse. She gave him a nod of acknowledgement before uncorking the potion an going “bottoms up”. Kaito chuckled then his smile faded for a split second. Even though her bandages covered most of her face they didn’t stop his right eye from seeing through them he noticed the potion already getting to work the potion’s energy already healing her wounded eyes.
“Now it should be easier to use your magic to see.” Kaito stated.
“Cool- GAHH IT BURNS! WHAT THE HELL!” Kaito almost burst out laughing.
“Don’t worry it feels like that at first. It should cool down after while it’s probably reacting to your eye’s damage, since they have worse damage to them.” Kaito said. He then pulled out another vial, this one a reddish color and opened it. The aroma from the vial smelled of cinnamon and clovers. “Here, this’ll help.” Kaito walked closer to Violet and put his hand out. “I’ll need you to take off your bandages but keep your eyes closed. Can you do that?” Kaito asked Rin with a gentle tone.
“Yeah. Okay.” Rin said, removing her bandages and gripping the bottle in her free hand.
“Okay, this is going to feel weird, but it’ll help.” Kaito got closer, opened the bottle and put some in his hand then he rubbed them together and put his hand on her face and then chanted something.
“Olak ayes cornup reymus.” He murmured, then he opened his eyes and whispered “Heal.” The potion slipped from his hand and used the energy from it to aid the other potion from before, but also as a pain remover to stop the burning feeling.
“Alright now you can open your eyes.” Kaito removed his hand. Rin’s eyes glowed a silvery color before she opened them. She flashed them open, a brilliant violet color. She smiled at Kaito.
“Thank you.” She said with her every-brilliant smile.
Kaito blushed and smiled to cover it. “No problem.” he responded. “Now we better go find your brother and Lilith, they just ran off.” He said.
“Agreed.” Rin said. Just then, Ark burst through the door. “Ark! We were just coming to look for you!”
“It's…. Lily….” He said breathlessly.
