Destroyer’s sword plunged deeply, but not into Jerome, rather, into concrete. Jerome had vanished and reappeared 5 meters away.
“So, you’ve learned that too.” Destroyer said as he brought the sword back up
“I have a confession brother; our powers may not be so far from each other after all.” He continued as he started to sprint towards Jerome
“Ernisum ka!” they said in unison
A brick wall flashed before them before it instantly disappeared.
Destroyer stood up and prepared with a stance.
“Our powers are the exact opposites of each other.” He said as he approached Jerome
“I’ll make sure that you wont be able to escape this time.” He said as he swung horizontally.”
It swung as if it was a sword made of heavy metal, cutting harshly through the air and leaving no trace of the swing. In one clean cut, it could cut off a head with surgical precision.
However, once again, Destroyer’s sword hit something else. This time, it was a thick wall of air, more durable than the shields Jerome had ever created. It was so thick, it was impossible to pull his sword out.
Destroyer gave Jerome one final pitiful look before both of them walked out of the scene, leaving the bloodied Jerome alone on the parking area.
"The final showdown can wait. You aren't ready yet" he said before canishing.
Crystal rushed in on Jerome, who already formed a pool with the way he bled. She tried to pull out a medkit, which she brought from the apartment, but Jerome’s hand stopped her. She looked down and saw that some of his wounds have already healed. He was already healing himself with his powers.
He woke up at an unknown place, floating freely, surrounded by nothingness and left only with himself, and nothing more. He crossed his arms and chanted, “Ernisum ka”. His seal lit up in the darkness, but nothing showed up. He concentrated on the area below him, analyzing the empty void and how he could shape it to his advantage.
He spread his arms and created a platform for him to stand on. It was made of metal, and the noise of his footsteps disappeared into the nothingness.
A rock appeared before him, gradually, it grew in size. He waved his arms spirally, then he extended them, creating a shield to block the rock.
It went in closer in closer without stopping. He held his stance and anchored his feet to the ground. He looked straight at it, it was already right before him. It would hit in three, no, in two, in one!
Nothing.
Nothing happened, he simply passed through the rock as it grew. It was so large, he could see the molecules that made up the rock, but it didn’t stop there.
It continued to grow, until he could already see the atoms that made up the rock.
He felt the atom and studied it. Its structure was similar to every other atom, with the difference being in the quantity of their different qualities.
If every atom looked similar, then everything was made up of atoms, then perhaps, he could create more than what he could see, perhaps he could create atoms, elements, molecules, and objects, or so he thought.
He placed his hand on the floor and thought of a weapon. A hook to pull Destroyer in, long range to tag him, and a blade to kill him. A scythe. He thought hard about its structure, about how it would have a metallic pole and a blue, sharp blade.
After a few minutes, he chanted, “Ernisum ka”.
Blue dusts slowly converged in front of him and formed the base. It grew up slowly, creating the pole he had imagined.
He smiled, seeing that it was successful. But suddenly, the dust stopped coming, and all that was formed was half the pole he had imagined. He held it up, it was cold and metallic, the same thoughts he had on his mind.
Perhaps it was imperfect, but it was a start. His true powers were slowly coming to light.
He closed his eyes and imagined himself rising up from a pool of water.
This caused him to wake back up, as if he just popped up from a Lucid Dream.
He was on a bed, back inside the apartment. His wounds had vanished, and his insides felt like they were back in place. He looked to his side and imagined the same weapon. Blue dust slowly appeared inside the room. They converged on the area directly beside him. Slowly, they formed the base of the shaft, rising up as it constructed itself from virtually nothing.
It stopped midway, and he ended up with nothing more than a metal pole which dropped to the ground and created a loud noise.
Crystal rushed through the door just to see a surprised Jerome holding a lousily constructed metal pole.
“It really does seem like you and Destroyer are the complete reverse of each other.” She said
“In what way?” Jerome asked
“I fought Destroyer some time ago. At first, he wasn’t able to do anything about my blades. I nearly hit him cleanly when all of a sudden, my blade vanished. I tried to fire a few more, but they kept vanishing, and I was helpless. He has the power to destroy what he has analyzed, while you have the power to create.” Crystal said
“So we are basically the alternate versions of each other. But how could that be?” Jerome asked
“Perhaps its due to the fact that you two were to closest to the blast. I have the power to create blades that destroy, you have the power to create what you can imagine, while Destroyer has the power to destroy what he has analyzed. We three are the most powerful Breakers. If only Destroyer could side with us, we could recreate our world.” Crystal said
“That’s impossible. His philosophy is different. It was the reason why we fought in the first place. I thought that the world was fine as it is, while he wanted to change the world completely. Nothing will ever happen as long as both of us live. One has to go, and it has to be him.” Jerome said
“I won’t be a part of this quarrel. You can live here if you like, but I’m not helping you. I’ll just try and save as many Breakers as I can from starving to death.” Crystal said
“That’s fine. The world rests on our hands after all. I cannot create when another can destroy, and he cannot destroy when another can create. This balance can only be tipped by blood” Jerome said
Omnipotent Vision suddenly came through the door. She scanned Jerome and noticed a change in his seal.
"It has been unlocked" she said
"What has?" Jerome asked
"Your potential as the creator has been realized, and your system has reconfigured itself. You should be able to create anything you desire." she replied
"You mean something like this pole?" Jerome asked
"You stopped midway. Focus your concentration on your ability of creation and you should be able to create anything in an instant." she replied
Crystal looked at the metallic pole that Jerome held in his hands. It was perfect in structure, delicately designed to withstand even the toughest blows.
"I don't think you should be called Wind Bearer anymore." said Crystal
"Then who will I be?" asked Jerome
"The Creator" replied Crystal.
And thus, the final act draws closer as both sides realize that both of them cannot coexist for their desired world to come to light. A broken world supplied with all the needed resources, or a new world lacking of humanity, only one can exist in the future they desired to come to life.
