Adrik was being highly professional about the drop; his arms were at his side, and he wasn't screaming. Sebastian on the other hand was twirling through the air. It was fairly dark out, as the time difference made it almost midnight. Adrik veered to the left and grabbed Sebastian, straightening him out, so he's stop screaming. He gestured to the pull-string to deploy the parachute, then counted back from three on his fingers.
When he hit one, he pulled his ripcord, the air sending him many feet above Sebastian. He grabbed his cord, and pulled...
...
...
"What?! Oh no!!" Sebastian could feel the panic bubbling up in his chest. His parachute wouldn't deploy! He tugged and tugged, but it wouldn't come out of the backpack. his screaming started again. He yanked and twirled in the sky, air whooshing past him. The ground was getting closer every second that passed. What was he gonna do?!
Quickly, he took the pack off, and opened it manually, carefully tying the ropes to his wrists. Hopefully the parachute would still work. Sebastian took a deep breath, and quieted his mind, He let the sound of air be drowned out, and then, he heard nothing. With great force, he threw the empty pack, and the parachute deployed, yanking his wrists upwards.
Sparks of pain shot through his limbs, but it was better than landing on concrete at this velocity. He could feel his body drifting side to side in the air.
"Adrik?!" Sebastian shouted hoarsely, looking around. The burly Russian came into sight moments later, shaking his head.
"WHAT WAS THAT?!" Adrik shouted, mumbling a string of curses in Russian under his breath.
"I had to think fast, skate fast, eat ass." Sebastian replied, licking his lips. Adrik rolled his eyes and looked down.
"There should be some of my colleges waiting for us when we land. Try not to screw it up and show them how much of a dunce you are."
"Yeesh okay, okay, I'll try and be professional." Sebastian mumbled, kicking his legs back and forth, humming Old Town Road to himself.
