I pulled the trigger as soon as I felt the room melting—I don't know how long after taking the drug.

When I died, the snowflakes were all around me once again while I floated in front of my corpse, but this time they looked different, almost like foam now. Everything started to shine. This time, when I was completely blinded by the light, I didn't wake up. I just felt like I got catapulted, and I was travelling at an impossibly fast speed, making the foam and its emanating shining light around me look like it was vibrating. Both the momentum and the vibrations around me accelerated to the point that the music at the back of my head started to lose its distortion and muffled sound.

For a moment that was a peaceful state of existence, but when the music started to sound better—with its notes, pauses and its timbre clearer, I began to feel scared. I wasn't able to close my eyes, and my entire body started to feel that horrible sensation we have in our stomachs when we get into a rollercoaster.

I wanted to scream. I needed to stop.

I reached the highest speed possible, and now the blinding light around me was finally taking me back, but the transition felt eternal now, and the music was finally there. It was an upbeat melody played by a trumpet, with a lot of percussions in the background and a Latino feel. It wasn't chaotic, but eccentric—like composed especially for people at a nightclub.

I was finally looking at the end of the tunnel. I heard voices and laughter. I pushed myself with all my strength, and the music got louder, finally clear, and with its main melody ready to change.

"Bro! Man! Hell-ooo?!"

"He's coming back, don't worry."

"Oh my god! I don't believe you guys. Honey? Are you being serious?"

"We are all serious, girl. He says that every time this song plays, it's because he died somewhere else."

"And he just stays like that? So… catatonic?"

"He starts to react again as soon as the melody of the trumpet stops. Look, look."

OOOOOH! FIREBALL!

I saw, I came, I conquered

or should I say

I saw, I conquered, I came

They say the chico on fire

and he no liar...

They turned the volume down, and I finally woke up growling, breathless, with my hands on my chest, and looking for the bullet hole in my head. Trying to breathe, trying to realise where or when I was. I was just shaking my head like a scared dog, and they kept talking.

"Honey, honey! Calm down!"

"He always does that, don't worry."

"Oh my god! Honey, is everything fine? You stopped functioning! You were staring at nothing as soon as the melody of the trumpet started."

"Told you."

"Wh... but... why that song? That's so... dumb."

"I know. Mr Worldwide is his grim reaper, how disappointing is that?"

All of them were laughing—my friends, my brother Paul, and this beautiful girl next to me holding my hand. I was staring at them, moving my head so fast to be able to look at everything, trying to guess my location in space and time.

"Honey, honey, what's wrong?"

"Fuck, sometimes he gets more bewildered than other times, don't worry."

"What do we do? Honey, we are here, calm down."

"Dude, turn the volume back up, sometimes that helps."

"Are you sure?"

We'rebringitwe'rebringitwe'rebringitback.

They started to vibrate, and I began to shiver, feeling cold. I felt like I was leaving my body behind again.

We'rebringitwe'rebringitwe'rebringitback.

I started to notice the pictures on the wall showing a life I'd never lived. I saw a phone on the table, and I read the name of the song.

"Fuck, he's having an anxiety attack."

"Honey! Honey!"

"Don't worry, girl. We know what to do."

"Oh, god!"

We'rebringitwe'rebringitwe'rebringitback.

"Stay with us, man! Stay with us! Breathe! Calm down, calm down and breathe, please."

"Woah, is that a fucking gun inside his pocket?!"

We'rebringitwe'rebringitwe'rebringitback.

They moved like a coin would move in deeper layers of my dreams. They vibrated so fast they started to slowly turn into foam.

WE'REBRINGITWE'REBRINGITWE'REBRINGITBACK

WE'REBRINGITWE'REBRINGITWE'REBRINGITBACK

WE'REBRINGITWE'REBRINGITWE'REBRINGITBACK

...

FIREBALL!

And I got catapulted again at the maximum speed, far away from that reality, with that fucking tune looped.

I know it sounds even stupider if you read this in front of my goddamned corpse, but please don't let that tiny detail fool you because I am about to explain what is going on here.

I don't even know how many times I've already written this letter to tell my story and then killed myself, hoping to wake up back in a life where I didn't use to be so miserable. This is me trying to explain my immortality and how I ended up in this pathetic loop.

Maybe in another timeline or alternate universe this is just a book written by another me, living a slightly better life.
