Chapter – 15
Hayden grabbed my arm and dragged me inside. He slammed the door behind us so hard that I almost thought it would come off its hinges.
“Where the fuck were you?” Hayden angrily asked me.
I lost my capability to form words at Hayden’s anger and slurred some words together.
Hayden moved closer to me and grabbed my cheeks with his palm and starred threateningly into my eyes.
“I will ask you again, where the fuck were you?”
“At Eric’s.” I stuttered.
“Eric, who?”
“I met him at the party last night.”
When you answer someone’s questions, you expect them to get calmer but Hayden’s anger doubled. He grabbed my arm again with more tenacity and pulled me upstairs.
He took me into his room and locked the door behind him.
“You are that stupid? You spent a night at someone’s place just after you met them?”
I looked at Hayden wordlessly and he ran his hand through his hair and suddenly, he narrowed his eyes as if he had just seen something.
He grabbed the neckline of my T- shirt and pulled it down so hard that it ripped. It ripped.
“Hayden, what?” I asked grabbing his hand, trying to loosen his hold but instead he exerted more force which led the whole thing to rip.
His eyes were at my collarbone, unmoving.
“You slept with him?” My eyes widened at his words and I pushed him away.
“Are you out of your mind?”
Hayden placed his hands on my shoulder and pushed me down on his bed. I fell onto the bed with a thud and placed my elbows on the bed as an attempt to get up but Hayden got on top of me and pushed my shoulders causing me lie to flat on his bed.
“The hickeys all over your body say otherwise.”
The rage that I experienced at that moment exceeded Hayden’s by miles.
“What is wrong with you? Do you have that short of a memory? Did you forget that you made these marks on me?”
Hayden’s eyes widened and he leaned in, kissing my collarbone.
“So you and Eric, didn’t do anything?”
“Are you insane? You’re the… the only one I have been with.”
Hayden kissed the corner of my mouth and slowly got off me.
“You’ve never been with someone?” Hayden asked sitting at the corner of the bed facing away from me while I was still on the bed with me forearm covering my face.
“You were my first kiss.”
I didn’t remove my hand to assess his reaction by the silence that had followed my words was enough to draw a conclusion.
Hayden grabbed my hand and pulled me, gently this time, in his lap. I was gazing into his eyes when he brought his palm to the back of my head and buried my face in his neck.
He gently caressed my head and my eyes watered, once again.
“I am so sorry that I treated you that way. I shouldn’t have. I’ll be better but if you don’t want anything to do with me, I understand.”
I didn’t dare to look at him.
“I saw you kissing Emilia. That’s why I left.” I said in my muffled voice.
“That kiss didn’t mean anything that was just us being stupid but you should’ve at least called me. I was worried sick.”
This time I looked at Hayden and I asked, “Are you really gay?”
Hayden’s eyes turned softer, “I always have been.”
He wiped my tear stained with the back of his hand and grabbed my chin.
“Can I?”
I lightly nodded and Hayden brought his lips to mine.
