I dunno where you were living at the time, but in the province of Ontario in Canada, unless it is for emergency purposes, a landlord Has to provide at least 24 hours notice to a tenant when they are planning to enter the unit. The place I live also thankfully keeps note of people with needs such as hearing impairment, sight impairment, mobility impairment, etc
