Chapter 14

“If you blow up my phone with calls or texts im blocking your ass got it?” Jinx grumbled and grabbed the man's phone to put in his number.

He sent a text to himself to get Kurono’s number as well and handed the mans phone back.

“Understood!” Kurono grinned.

The limo took off and Jinx walked towards the woods to go around towards where he left his knife. He pulled it out from under the rock and flicked it open. He walked around the building instead of going behind it by the dumpster where he was sure the man from this morning was probably still waiting for him.

He crept along the wall and looked around the corner.

Yup the man was standing there staring in the opposite direction, like a zombie.

Jinx shook his head.

He at least had an explanation for all this now finally.

Ever since he had turned 13 random men had become bewitched by Jinx. Attempting to flirt or rape him randomly. The ones that flirted tended to snap out of it after a few minutes when Jinx turned them down but ones who just straight ran at him ended up well….like the guy still standing at the dumpster.

Those were the worse cases though and only had happened 4 or 5 times. If Jinx left him alone for about 3-4 days he would snap out of it but if the man saw him again it would just make it worse.

Jinx went home, he waved at his father in the garage who was drinking and smoking while messing with a car. He went inside the house through the garage and hesitantly looked around for his mother.

He sighed in relief when he noticed she wasn't in the living room. She must have gone to bed and he wouldn't have to deal with her. Jinx checked the fridge hoping his mom may have actually gone to the store and sighed when he was proven wrong.

He looked at the two tupperwares in the fridge and opened one just to be met with mold. In disgust he put it back, shaking his head and looked lower down. He had eaten the last of the bagels this morning, so he was hoping food would just magically appear but no dice.

He checked the cupboard, just to find stale cereal and a box of something he couldn't read. The cereal was from halloween last year and he was not about to eat any count chocula when it was past halloween this year.

Jinx sighed and went to his bedroom and pulled out a packet of ramen. He started cooking it on the stove and went to change into shorts with a faded blue t shirt. Jinx went to one of his animals cages and opened his rabbits cage. He stuck his hand inside and coaxed Merry, his white and brown rabbit over so he could pet her.

She let him rub her head and Jinx got her food from his pet supplies in one of his dresser drawers. He watched her munch on her pellets and then went to get his ramen which was done.

He slurped down his ramen and watched a quick episode of One Piece. After he was done he waited until Merry started to bump against her cage wanting out. He let her out and she roamed around his room for a few minutes.

Jinx fed his ever growing collection of goldfish.

He had a cute bubble eyed goldfish and a few fancy fish along with a giant monster common goldfish. He had bought a tiny feeder goldfish about 2 years back for 25 cents and with his care it had grown bigger than his hand.

Jinx smiled at the giant goldfishes he had raised. His rabbit nudged at his feet and sat up, resting her paws against his leg. He bent down and patted her small head.

“Merry Merry quite the contrary.” He said as he pulled a sweater over his shirt and grabbed his rabbits harness.

He got her harness on and leash so she could go outside with him. He shoved on his shoes and took her out into the yard.

The wind swirled around him as he walked around in the grass. Merry randomly hopped around munching on grass. Her little bobbed tail wiggled a few times and he couldn't help but smile at her. Since it was Friday he had to go to work tomorrow but for now he wanted to enjoy his time with his pets.

He sat in the grass and just continued to watch Merry enjoy herself.

Jinx sighed.

“I just know giving him my number is going to come back and bite me in the ass.” He groaned.
