Supernatural Races reach adulthood at different ages than humans. Instead of being considered an adult at eighteen, Wiccans and Mages are considered adults at seventeen, Vampires and Weres at twenty-one, Fae at thirty and Dwarfs at fifty. Hybrids do not reach adulthood until they reach the age required for the race that has the oldest age requirement from their ancestry. Adulthood is used as a basis for allowing couples to complete matings. Until both parties have reached adulthood within their respective races, matings are not to be completed. Fae culture, however, expects both individuals to be of at least twenty-five years of age in a mixed mating while Dwarfs care only that their mate is adult by the mates’ race expectations. Dragons have no set age of adulthood, though they do not tend to consider any of their race an adult until after their first hundred years, it can be longer as Dragons see age as a level of maturity and celebrate that level rather than an age. There are dragons, that are over a thousand years old that have never reached the maturity level for adulthood. Dragons also differ in that they do not require adulthood to be reached for mating to occur.
