A young male awoke in a cavern drowned in darkness. “Not again.” He sighed, holding up his hand. In his hand, a bright white burst of flames sprouted into existence, enshrouding him. Creatures in the shadows scurried backwards as the sudden light burst illuminated the room.
“What do you want… Salutar?” He asked the darkness when a figure walked out and smirked at him.

“And we’re off again!” Pit said, leaping out of the doors and shooting back up into the sky as Palutena granted him the power of flight.
“Your next target is in the mountains. There’s been some sort of abnormal sighting there and I need you to check it out.” Lady Palutena instructed as Pit flew through the sky.
“Wow, there has been a lot of magical disturbances lately, Lady Palutena. I wonder what is causing all of this. Like, who who is the “king” that Quorra mentioned?” Pit asked as he fired at a bunch of flying enemies. These creatures had similar features to that of a bat.
“Your guess is still as good as mine, Pit. I’m trying to have some of the centurions decode it, but they’ve had little luck.” Lady Palutena responded while Pit continued to fight off the creatures.
“Oh, okay. I was just wondering. I just hope we can figure out what she meant soon, because if this threat if prominent, then the world will be in imminent danger!”
Lady Palutena chuckled. “Nice work with those big words, Pit. I see you’ve been expanding your language skills.”
“Th-Thanks Lady Palutena….” Pit said, blushing with flattery from her comments.
“Awe! Pit! There’s no need to blush! It’s just a compliment!” Lady Palutena giggled
“Yeah, but like I said, I don't need you flattery, Lady Palutena!!” Pit said, shooting some more of the creatures to distract himself. “By the way, who are we fighting again?”
“He goes by the name Yinishki Mashukira. He has a brother named Yanugai Mashukira. Both of them together are nicknamed Yin-Yang.” Lady Palutena said as she helped guide Pit’s flight while he fired.
“Huh, interesting. Are both of them in the cavern currently?” Pit asked as yet another pod of bat-like creatures burst into the same tar-like liquid as before.
“Oh! That reminds me, Pit! Viridi has figured out what that black tar-like liquid is!” Lady Palutena said with a small gasp.
“Really?! What is it?!” Pit asked, sort of excited to figure out what it is,
but also not at the same time.
“It’s a type of liquid corruption known as Vasin (VAY-sin). It seeps into the skin of whoever touches it and makes them, well, corrupt. It can also distort said person or creatures appearance and make “anti-copies” of them. Kind of like how the Mirror of Truth took everything about you and made Pittoo.” Lady Palutena explained.
“Huh, that’s interesting. I haven’t really heard of this before. Is it new?” Pit asked as he flew down.
“Very old, actually. It hasn’t been used since-.” Lady Palutena paused for a second, then gasped. “No! Th-That can’t be him! H-He was sealed away millennia ago!”
“Wait, what are we talking about? Oh wait, I heard about the Vasin. But, he hasn’t been around since-.” Viridi cut in.
“Since all of us Gods sealed him away.” Palutena finished, worry lacing through her voice.
“Wait, who are you guys talking about?” Pit asked, completely confused. The two goddesses muttered among themselves quietly before Lady Palutena said, “I’ll tell you later. Right now, you need to worry about fighting Yin and Yang, if Yang even shows up.”
“You’re right. I see the cave entrance now!” Pit said as Lady Palutena guided Pit to the cave. They were stopped by a loud hiss as a massive snake-like creature surfaced from the ground.
“Oh great, a Labathon! Like we needed one of those!” Viridi said, highly annoyed.
“Wait a second, look at the coloration!” Lady Palutena said and Pit looked closer at the colors.
“Black and white! Yin and Yang! So they’re behind this thing!” He said as he began to focus his fire on the creature.
“Most likely to distract you while they prepare for the battle ahead.” Dark Pit commented as he began to attack the creatures circling the Labathon.
“Hey Pittoo! Glad to see you made it here! I mean, better late than never!” Pit said to his clone.
“Just shut up and fight, Pit Stain. I don’t need your overjoyed comments right now.” Dark Pit replied, rolling his eyes once without faltering with his shots.
“Still as pessimistic as ever.” Pit muttered under his breath as he continued to shoot the Labathon.
“Like I said, shut it Pit Stain so we can focus on the task at hand.” Dark Pit said as he took out the last flying creature.
“Well sorry.” Pit muttered under his breath as he continued to fire at the Labathon. He managed to kill it off, but two more surfaced in its place.
“Oh you have got to be kidding me! Seriously?! A hydra-type enemy?!” Dark Pit growled as he began to fire at the one on the left while Pit shot at the one on the right.
“Well, how was I supposed to know it would do that?!” Pit shot back as he kept dealing damage to his Labathon.
“Wait a second, those aren't new ones… They came from the same one as before, so these are just two smaller copies of the first!” Lady Palutena observed.
“Well, that’s good to know that the humans won’t have to deal with the threat of more of these things around. I wonder how small this thing will get.” Pit pondered as both of the smaller Labathons exploded into two even smaller ones.
“We’re about to find out.” Dark Pit said, still firing. “It appears that the smaller they get, the less health they have. Also, those flying things I shot down earlier must’ve been boosting its health, because this things is super weak.”
“Well, for one, those “flying things” you mentioned? Yeah, those things are called Doxers. I thought I taught you better, Dark.” Viridi commented as the two angels continued to destroy the now even smaller Labathons. “Also, this should be the last time they divide, but there are so many of them!”
“You say that like its a bad thing. At least those bastards aren’t here to boost this things hit points, that’s all I was saying.” Dark Pit rolled his eyes as he the last few Baby Labathons exploded for good.
“Good. Now it’s time to go face Yin and Yang before they can cause the humans anymore trouble!” Lady Palutena said. “There are some grind rails set up to the caves’ entrance. Take those up there, since the Power of Flight is almost to its maximum limit.”
“Got it. Thanks again, Lady Palutena.” Pit said as he landed on the ground with Dark Pit close behind. Both lept onto the rail with Pit leading the way. A few more bat creatures began to circle around them
“Ugh, if these things would just leave us alone, that would be amazing.” Dark growled as he shot down a pod to the left of the rail
“I don't know why these Argons are so attracted to you two! More specifically, fighting you two! These things aren’t usually hostile towards anyone!” Viridi said in shock as she recognised the bat-like creatures.
“It’s gotta be that Vasin. Didn’t you say it can distort the behaviors of people and creatures.” Pit inquired, narrowing his eyes as he shot down the pod to the right of the rail.
“It could very well be, Pit.” Lady Palutena answered.
“My concern would be for the Mother Argon. She would not be too happy to find you killing off her children. And if they are taken over by Vasin, well, then, you two are screwed.” Viridi said, causing both of the Pits sighed in response.
“Great. I think I see her now.” Dark Pit said, motioning to the giant Argon flapping her wings furiously.
“That would be her. And like I said, she’s not too thrilled to see that many of her children are dying.”
“We’ll just take her down if she threatens our mission! If not, we should just leave her alone. I don’t want to deal with an angry momma.” Pit said, brushing the back of his neck.
“I agree with Pit Stain, for once.” Dark Pit said. “If we don’t bother her now, she won’t bother us.” “
Just, don’t go slaughter any of her kids in front of her. That would surely throw us behind schedule.” Lady Palutena instructed as the male angels reached the end of the grind rail.
“Now, into the cavern to face the pyromancer duo!” Pit said as the two angels made their way into the cave.
☬☬☬☬☬☬
“YINISHKI MASHUKIRA! BRINGER OF THE DARK FLAME BEFORE ME! I AM PIT, SERVANT OF THE LIGHT GODDESS LADY PALUTENA! BOW DOWN AND FACE THE LIGHT OF PALUTENA OR SUFFER!”
Yin yawned loudly and then looked at Pit. “Huh? Oh, were you talking to me? Sorry, I must’ve dozed off because your speech was sooooo BORING!”
Yin said in a teasing tone. “Besides, I’m not just the bringer of the dark flame. I also have the Holy fire.” Yin spoke his left hand igniting into white flames
Pit started off the fight by firing a few shots as Yin with his weapon of choice
Yin dodged two of them, the third hitting his shoulder. “Ow. that actually hurt.” He said sarcastically, drawing his sword and charging in
“Two pyromancers in a row. How convenient for us,ey Pit Stain?” Dark Pit said as he focused his staffs’ fire on Yin.
“Yeah, lucky us. And hey! Where is your brother Yang?!” Pit asked as he continued to fire at Yin
“Yang? Who in the nine hells is Yang?” Yin asked slicing at Dark Pit.
“You know, Yanugai! Your brother and “other half,” if you would describe your guys’ relationship in that way.” Pit said as he dashed out of the way of the slice. Dark Pit stayed back, aiming his staff and firing at Yin from a distance.
“My other half? I’ve been alone my whole life!” Yin shouted slamming his sword into the ground. Cracks began to open and spread towards Pit, flames seeping out of said cracks. “My only family is my old man!” He shouted again.
“Lady Palutena would never lie to me! You know Yang! Stop lying, you filthy pyromancer!” Pit shouted as he jumped over the cracks.
“Clearly there were two magical auras detected here, so you are lying!” Dark Pit said, backing Pit up as they continued their assault.
“How many times must I tell you?” Yin started standing straight up and leaving his sword embedded in the ground. “I don’t have a brother. He died long ago!” Yin shouted his hands erupting into flames black on his right white on his left. He then charged forward faster than before he lunged towards Dark Pit.
Dark Pit grunted and rolled out of the way. “Stop lying to protect your brother, Yinishki. It’s over. We’ve got you two surrounded in here!”
“If I were lying, which I am not, wouldn’t your goddess be able to detect it? My brother has been dead for over one hundred years.” Yin replied shooting blasts of black flames at the two angels, surrounding himself with the white ones.
“For once, this pyromancer tells the truth. I sense no lies coming from him.” Lady Palutena said.
“But-. Then what was the other aura that we sensed?! There was a second!” Pit said, confused
“Listen, I don’t know what you’re talking about, but I’ve been given strict orders to fight you, and I will not disobey.” Yin said charging up a black and white flaming ball.
“Maybe his aura was too strong that it showed up as two distinct figues.” Pit pondered as he continued to fire at Yin.
“Impossible! The sensor clearly showed it was two different figures giving off two different auras.” Lady Palutena said stubbornly, not wanting to admit to the fact that she could’ve been wrong.
Yin shot the fire in a large beam across the small area of which they were fighting. The beam swept in the direction of his attackers. Black markings started to show up along his left arm and on his chest.
“OW! OWOWOWOWOWOW!!!” Pit shouted as he got caught in the beam at the last second. His hit points were depleted by half, but thanks to Lady Palutena, there was some floor food, which he dashed to in order to replenish his health. “Hey! That was uncalled for!” He said, pouting as he continued to attack
“Oh no you don’t!” Yin shouted, encasing his right arm with black flames and punching the ground with so much force his fist went right through it. Suddenly, the ground around Pit and Dark Pit turned orange and it was quickly starting to glow red.
Pit yelped again, tackling Dark Pit out of the way in the direction of the door as black flames burst from the ground.
Yin, hit by the dual bolts, fell to the ground. The cracks then started to reseal themselves and the flaming torches surrounding the arena dimmed. “What? You thought that since I am the second boss that I would be easy?” He asked, the right half of his face, as well as his right arm covered in black demonic markings.
The exit door was covered in blue flames. “Now the fight will be interesting.” He remarked with a demonic smirk plastered on his face, his voice echoing all throughout the cavern.
“WHOA! What did he do, Lady Palutena?!” Pit asked as the two angels got back onto their feet.
Yin pulled his sword out of the ground, causing the cracks to spread and wide. One of which spread to the side of the room and fire spewed from all the cracks. The black substance that was covering Yin’s body began spread more and more, covering most of his chest now.
“Stop talking to your pathetic goddess and fight me!” Yin shouted throwing his blade, which was wreathed in flames, at the two.
“Okay, calm down there, little buddy. No need to act so hostile towards us, now.” Dark Pit said, his voice dripping with sarcasm like it was venom. Pit glared in Yin’s direction, shooting a projectile right at his head. Yin let out a loud shout of pain that sounded more like a deep growl.
“You’ll pay for that, little angel~.” Yin said with a smirk and chuckled, his deep voice echoing throughout the cavern.

“Y-Yang…. Are-Are you all right?” A young female voice asked, approaching the male who was on the floor writhing in pain and holding his head at the temple.
“Yanugai…. Is it? Could it possibly be…..?” Another female voice asked, this one sounding older than the first
“Yin? I sure hope so. I can feel it. He’s alive, and he’s in danger.” Yang replied, slowly getting up from the ground.
“Danger? Like, the ungrateful suck-ups found him?” The first female voice asked.
“That too. But, he is in a very dangerous and unstable from. I feel like I know where he is. I have to stop him at all costs, before he can get into a worse from.” Yang replied, making his way over o the exit.
“Here! At least take this, you may need our help to fight the Suck-Ups.” The second female made her way over and handed him a small earpiece. “Keep in touch.” She said, tapping her own ear once. Yang did the same thing back to her before putting the piece in his ear and taking off in search of his brother.
