Circa 10 years after the Fall of Hades

It has been ten years since the Fall of Hades, as the people call it, and all is well. Lady Palutena is safe, Skyworld is safe.. Even the humans have been at peace for a while! Wow, time sure does fly when your doing deeds for the gods. When I first began, I thought I was the only angel left after the Genocide, that is, until I entered Pandora’s Labyrinth. That’s when I was introduced to the darker side of myself, Dark Pit. Despite how edge his name is, he can really be a softie. After all, he did save my life a few times before. Though, I think he only did it because “if Pit dies, then I die.”. …..I think that's what he said…..

Anyways, Pittoo has shown me that I really have to be careful. Yes, he was created from the Mirror of Truth, and says that he is a “reflection of my true self” but….. He’s incomplete. I stopped him from being fully made by destroying the mirror. Still, I can’t help but wonder…… Why would I think such dark thoughts? What happened to me? What is the truth? To be honest, his words have stuck with me, but they don't consume me. They’re more of a…… would you say, an annoyance? A small itch that won’t be scratched? I don't know.

Also, side tangent, but, why does he hate the nickname Pittoo? Does it make him feel inferior to me? Who knows. In the time since the war against Hades, Pittoo has been working for Viridi. Apparently, his ideals and hers line up, but I don't know if that’s the only reason, or if its even the reason at all. Lady Palutena has had the chance to enlighten me and teach me how to read an write since we aren’t being pressured by Underworld fiends at every waking moment. In fact, she’s the one who encouraged me to keep this journal!

WAIT! I completely forgot to tell you about the Genocide! Haha! Silly me! Anyways, the Genocide is what we refer to as the Fall of the Angels. Long ago, the angels were sent on a deadly mission. All of them,. except for me, since I had been in a bad accident and the fact that I was just a child. Sure, a bunch of other children were left behind, but I was the only child here left alive from the “curse”. No angel returned alive, all of them had perished This was due to Medusa turning them all to stone I guess. It was a “curse” or something that made all angels with the ability to fly on their own turn to stone. It even affected us here back in Skyworld. The mission description, according to Palutena, said it was something about banishing a beast? I don’t know, she rarely ever talks about it anymore. Anyways, after sweeping through Skyworld, Lady Palutena found me in my crib crying out for my parents. She took pity on me and decided to raise me as her own. That’s all I know about it. Maybe someday I’ll know more about this issue.

Oh, here she comes now! Well, I best get going. She’s probably going to have me train some of the new centurion recruits again. Until next time!
