Philip wasn't sure what to do in the situation Vivian put him in. Theodore had long disappeared into another room and Philip wasn't sure if he had gone to bed or was just busy with something. Either way it looked like Philip couldn't get his help at the moment.
Philip turned his head slightly, making sure not to move any other muscle in his body. Vivian's light breath caressed Philip's cheek from his shoulder. The temptations were cycling through Philip's mind. Philip knew not to risk it yet since it was still too soon, but the thoughts still crossed his mind.
The recording of “King Thrushbeard” that Vivian had rooted out after dinner was just finishing up when Vivian had suddenly shifted and tipped over, leaning against Philip.
Philip hadn't even notice Vivian falling asleep. Suddenly there was a slight weight on his shoulder and a sweet scent filling his nose. And now here he was struggling with his inner thoughts about what the do next.
Philip couldn't handle it any longer and reached up with his available hand and lightly brushed a strand of hair out of Vivian's face and behind his ear. His hand was lingering there when Theodore came out with an empty mug looking to refill it with coffee.
As they made eye contact Theodore had a very surprised look on his face and Philip started blushing, knowing that he was caught red-handed. Theodore seemed to quickly make sense of the scene and smiled at Philip.
Theodore quietly opened his mouth and whispered at Philip. “It's been forever since I've seen Vivian sleeping so soundly. Probably three years ago in fact.” Theodore seemed to get slightly teary eyed. “He suffers from extreme insomnia and it has been getting worse over the years. Sleeping in front of others is completely out of the picture now, even in front of me who raised him.”
Philip couldn’t think of anything to say back. He noticed Vivian’s constant eye bags, but he didn’t realize it was such a severe issue. Looking back to the sleeping Vivian, Philip’s heart warmed even more. Finally he found his words and whispered them towards Theodore, being extra careful that he wouldn’t bother Vivian in doing so. “I’m glad he is comfortable around me enough to temporarily cure his insomnia already. I find myself caring about him more and more in the past week. From my first time I saw him I felt like he has already been apart of my life since I was young.”

Vivian sleepily snuggled closer to the firm body pillow next to him. It was giving off a pleasant scent, and seemed to be connected to whatever was underneath his ear. Vivian felt a light breeze caress his hair and he got a whiff of mint on top of the strawberry scent of his personal shampoo.
Vivian stretched his fingers out wide, his pointer finger slipping underneath the pillow case that covered his body pillow. Confused by the texture, Vivian’s right hand started wandering up the smooth and warm pillow. As it traveled up and felt all the curves and bumps, Vivian started to actually wake up to a sight he wasn’t expecting at all.
Philip was in his bed. Vivian had been snuggling up to Philip! He had even been using Philip’s right arm as a pillow under his head. Philip was sprawled out in a fluffy crimson pajama set that had crowns on the pants and a shirt that had swirling text reading: “Wake Me with a Kiss”.
Vivian blushed deep red and was so glad Philip seemed to be still asleep. Especially considering that Vivian had accidentally started feeling him up in his sleep. Resulting in his shirt riding up to show his perfectly sculpted stomach. Vivian caught himself from staring to long. He had to find a way out of this situation and figure out how it ended up like this.
Vivian made sure not to move too much as he took inventory of potential escape routes. There weren’t many since Philip was blocking him in by sleeping on the side that didn’t have a wall next to it. At the head of the bed was Vivian’s side table/bookshelf with his reading lamp, so that route was cut off. Leaving the only route out to be the foot of the bed. The only obstacle in his way were the blankets that seemed to get kicked off while they were sleeping. The image of the two of them sleeping under the same blankets made Vivian start blushing again, and solidified the need to leave the bed.
Unfortunately for Vivian, as soon as he tried to start to wiggle downward towards the foot of the bed Philip shifted in his sleep. The perfectly sculpted prince rolled over and pulled Vivian closer to himself. The fresh whiff of Philip’s scent that Vivian received from the base of Philip’s neck made his resolve waiver. Why try to escape when it was so comfortable right here? This was his bed after all…
Vivian struggled internally with what to do now that there was no way to guarantee that he wouldn’t wake up Philip if he tried to leave. He was just about to give in and just wait for morning when a single voice wiggled into his thoughts. What would She think? No, he had to get out of this bed before anyone else woke up and questioned this positioning. He had to get out of this stifling situation. Quickly.
