Chapter 3

She inhaled “I`m… a princess and don`t often get to make choices of my own. Hell, just sneaking off here everyday or so gets everyone worked up into a frenzied. I had to learn how to pick a lock, so I could get out of my room, after getting grounded so many times.” She confined in him.

“Oh. Well that’s interesting.” He said a little shocked mostly by the defiance she expresses. He smiles at her. “You know, I still don`t mind” he admitted.

“Well of course you don`t mind. You would get riches. Where as for me I get to be locked up and get to do anything.” She said not attending to hurt his feelings. “Oh god not that I`m saying that’s the only reason why you like me..right?” She said as she went and buried her face into her hands.

“I understand, that`s why you didn`t tell me what you were before, it was because you didn`t know what would happen if I found out” he said as he walked up to her and put his hands on her shoulders. He slowly glided them down and up toward her wrist and began slowly pulling them away from her now puffy red face.

“You really don`t like being royalty, do you?” he smiled lightly.

“No, not really. I mean if they know I was here they might lock you in a dungeon or offer you money. Then lock me away or try sending me off. If they didn`t think you to be a good king that is. Still not letting me leave because people would say I`m an even bigger target, than I am now.” She sobbed and bit her lip trying to stop her anger and tear from escaping her.

“Doesn’t sound like a winning situation for you does it?” he stated more like a question.

“You know most people would be like, ‘Take it we`ll figure something out.’ Or ‘Don`t worry we`ll be sure to have it were once a day we can go on a walk’ a walk that would be limited to this forest. Which don`t get me wrong I love but...” she started but was cut off.

“It`s not enough is it?” He finished.

“Yeah. I know that sounds greedy.” She admitted to her flaw.

“No, it isn`t. You don`t want to be a prisoner” he said while his fingers began to left her chin, so he could see her face more.

“Thanks, but I`m not a prisoner.” She looked up at him with a force smile on her face. Which sadden William.

“Sounds like it to me.” He once again stated plainly and before she could say anything also throw in “Just because some thing is dressed up nicely and called something else doesn’t mean it`s not a prison” he said it coldly but sincerely.

Tears had filled hers eyes stronger than before, almost making it were she couldn`t hold back any more.

“You`re right. But what am I supposed to do” she said with her voice wavering.

“You could stay with me.” He said look at her with pleading eyes.

“I’d love too, but I can`t just leave them and hurt the rest of the kingdom.” She spoke knowing her duty as a princess.

“You really are kind and loving” he truthfully told her.

“Thanks” she said sarcastically.

“I mean it. But do you think we can try this” he motioned at the both of them “for at least for a while or if you feel like it can`t anymore.” He asked her.

“I guess, I means what`s the harm in trying” she stated and leaned up and kissed him. He was pretty shocked for a moment and then kissed her back. They stayed like this for a while, it was as if nothing else existed around them. When they finally stopped it was sunset and she had to leave. Once again, they had got back into the habit of meeting each other every day, whether it was for adventuring the forest and all its creature or just talking till the sunset, but now with more kissing and nether being afraid to talk about their more personal lives. Then there came one day they had found themselves snuggled up against a tree and watching the sunset. William was watching Danni`s arm as she pointed to all the stars coming out, he reached out and held out a golden circle between his fingers. She gasped as she saw this.

“I know you may be hesitant because you need to protect your people. But I think you should do what makes you happy for once. Even if no one else would be. I also know you think you`ll be restrained but I will guarantee you freedom even if you become queen. I promise” He vowed to her.

She bit her lip and smiled think about for a moment but no longer and responded with “You promise. You know They may reject it” She said looking back at him. He shock his head yes. “Yes, and if they do, then they don`t deserve you because that means they don`t love as much as I do.” He said staring lovingly in to her eyes.

“Then Yes.” She answered smiling and staring at him with starry eyes.

They kissed passionately while he slipped the golden ring on her finger and then they continued to lay there looking at stars that barely kissed the orange sky.

“You know something funny?” William asked while examining the arm that lead up to the ring.

“What?” She answered quietly while his kisses tickled her neck.

“I never noticed the star on your arm before.” He said looking up at it then her.
